Rescued Brown Bear Cubs

(stock photo)

Three orphaned brown bear cubs -- which were rescued earlier this month on Kodiak Island after their mother was killed by a hunter -- wake up from a nap and begin wrestling with each other in an infirmary at the Alaska Zoo on Monday, May 11, 2015. The cubs are doing well in their recovery and will be moved to an outside exhibit soon.

There's a cute video of the "wrestling match" at the link. :)

Rev. Paul,

It's a shame a hunter took their mother's life. Cub's are cute, they can also destroy everything they contact.

When my mom was a kid, her family raised 2 brown bear cubs at the farm because someone killed the mother.
The cubs, playful as they're destroyed everything they touched. After a period of time, the cubs were released to live on their own.

This was way up north in the UP of Michigan. It wasn't uncommon for farmers there to pitch a hand when it came to wildlife.
