"There's no point in questioning authority if you aren't going to listen to the answers." I don't remember who said that, but the point is well-taken.
The problem with that is, when Americans finally woke up and started to listen, the answers didn't make any sense.
And
of course, when we point that out, we're labeled a bunch of tea-bagging,
racist, homophobic, Constitution-loving, redneck, racist, illegal
immigrant-hating, Sarah Palin/Glenn Beck/Rush Limbaugh-worshiping, Fox
News-watching, bitterly-clinging-to-Bible-and-guns domestic terrorists.
I'm sure I left a few epithets out, but ... I don't care.
I no longer care whether someone on the left understands my point of
view. The only thing that matters is whether they respect it, because
it's increasingly clear that we have two completely disparate peoples
sharing a common (although very porous) border.

It appears then that I am in pretty good company. :)
Vicki, I suspect you already knew that. :) I also believe there are FAR more of "us" than there are of "them", but they don't want us to know that.
I am in that same company. It gets worse every day. What else can I say?
Linda, there's not much left to be said. Sad, but true.
They won't respect it, and will consider you (insert xxxist here)...
I concur, NFO. My point, exactly.
+1 Old NFO.
I proudly resemble this post.
And I will continue to do so, until the Lord calls me home.
