The One In Which I Put On My Preacher Hat

This message comes from a dear friend in the Lord, who regularly receives inspired words from Heaven.

The Bible tells us that as much as we may love our country, that God must be first. But it's clear from current events that war has been declared on Christianity.

How do we put Him first? By obeying what He has already told us to do! (John 14:15) We need to save as many people as we can, for the time is short and that there is only a small window of time left for those who do not yet believe (the lost) to be saved.

In a solemn warning, He told us that those who are not for Him are against Him, and made it clear that these people are being brainwashed by the enemy and are going to be as sheep before the slaughter.

They have no idea of the consequences of their sins, and are being told this is normal, but this is an abomination against God and their very nature. Then God would have no choice but to judge their actions even as He did Sodom and Gomorrah.

The Lord would say, “Turn as many as you can back to Me, for the time is short!”

But you ask, "What about the churches?"

What about them?

They can no longer sit on the fence and be neutral on this subject. For not speaking out is the same as supporting this and they too will be judged for it. The Bible says that disobedience and rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. (1 Samuel 15:23)

Jesus loves this nation and died for it, just as He died to save each and every one of us!

He called it to be a shining light and a place of safety for the immigrants who came to its shores where they could worship Him freely, and stand for what is right and just and good. If you don't believe that, you don't know your American history.

But many are trading their freedom of religion for freedom from religion, and so are choosing to go into bondage, judgement and death.

Pray for them, but stand firm in your faith and convictions, for the battle belongs to the Lord and He will surely triumph! Neither be afraid of their faces, but be strong like Jeremiah; stand your ground, and do not be swayed by their arguments.

Judgement will come, but remain faithful to the end. "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." (Matthew 10:22)

Good thoughts to ponder. How should one handle self described Atheists though? The ones who in so many ways follow Christian values, are personable and friendly but yet will not allow themselves to believe?

Those are the ones that make me pause as I cannot shun them but I know any type of preaching or pressure will make them flee.

Preppy, I believe the best we can do in those circumstances is to live our lives as Christians, letting the non-believers see our peace, and how He protects and blesses us. As they realize we clearly have a Friend who helps us, they'll get curious - but we have to remember that it's the Holy Spirit who draws them to Jesus. Our job is to demonstrate the good news.

Which is why, although it will create problems with resources to serve the needy, I'm beginning to think losing tax exempt status may be a good thing.

PH, I have to agree. While no church in America has actually ever lost its 501c(3) status, the threat remains. And while the threat remains, timid preachers* can be intimidated into politically correct sermons**.

*That ought to be an oxymoron, but it's not.
** Same remark.

Fortunately, not in my particular church, which is blessed with a pastor and deacon who will not preach that black is white.

I should join proudhillbillies' church.

PH, you're in one of the few that's still preaching the unadulterated gospel - or so we're led to believe.

Preppy, PH lives a long way from you; but do as you think best. :)

Do not allow the government to persecute the church with taxation.
Rather have the churches break the yoke placed on them by the Democrats under Johnson.
The ADF has been trying to get a test case on this and the IRS refuses to bite.
It knows it will lose.
Black pastors have never feared the IRS.

Ed, I'm with the black pastors on this issue, but your point is important.
