Spectacularly Unmotivated

That's how I feel today. The weekends really need to be three - or preferably four - days long, these days.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still doing my job, and they tell me I'm good at it. I just don't really want to. Finding myself tired of having to care about all the recurring little things that make up others' problems, ya know?

Things are getting done. I just want to be ... somewhere else. And vacation's not for another six months.

Hmm. Gonna have to do something about that.

I have company coming soon and I've come to the realization the my level of motivation to get ready for this company is inversely proportional to the amount of time left to get ready.

I hear you, Matt. I'm at the point where I just don't want to care anymore ... at least for awhile. I hope your visit goes okay, just the same.

thought about testing for vit.b and vit.d levels?
also think abt using those light bulbs which imitate
full spectrum daylight.
could be seasonal affective disorder. remember how sad you were to leave hawaii?

deborah, thank you for those suggestions; I might need to put full-spectrum lights in my office.

I just found out that all the work I left on my desk is still there.
And some.

Yeah, it's that time of year... Sigh...

What I wouldn't give to have 4, 10 hour days to get and extra day for the weekend, I feel the pain, especially in the rain, no pun intended. LOL

Ah, the "Gloomies". That's what I used to call 'em - that time of year when Summer is really over and the days are getting shorter and a lot cooler. Winter will be here soon. Blah!

Rev. Paul,

What I would give for a relaxing weekend. We've been traveling every weekend to TX to work on the estate in order to sale it. It surely would be awesome if weekends had one additional day attached to the beginning or end.

All - I don't usually suffer from seasonal disorder, but do occasionally have a few "off" days. This time feels different: I could cheerfully gather all my things and drive away without looking back.

I'll leave the keys on my desk, and it'll be someone else's concern.
At least, that's how most of my fantasies go, these days. :)
