About the Lack of Posting

Sorry about the lack of posts, in the last couple of days. Too much to do, and not enough daylight in which to get 'er done.

We spent part of yesterday afternoon taking down the Christmas decorations; my wife was under the weather a week ago, and wanted to wait so she could oversee the packing away of ornaments and such. We didn't have much up, decoration-wise, as the daughters are grown and there are no little ones around. Most the tree, a wreath, and some candles, knick-knacks and a centerpiece on the table. Only took about 90 minutes to put everything away. That a far cry from a few years ago, when it seemed we changed out everything in the living room except major furniture pieces.

We're starting to organize for our spring vacations.  Wife and younger daughter will make the regular pilgrimage to Hawaii for a couple of weeks. But a few days before they return, older daughter and I will travel to the Midwest. She's been wanting to return to some of her favorite destinations when she was younger, and didn't get to explore to her satisfaction, so off we go.

That's about all I've got for now. Thanks for stopping by, friends.

Well if you're not gonna post, I'm not gonna comment.

Quite logically reasoned, my friend. You do that very thing!

Wait. Are you getting like any daylight up there now at all?

I thought this time of year was like perpetual darkness there.

Preppy, that's only north of the arctic circle. We're 500 miles south of that. On the winter solstice, we get about 5 1/2 hours of daylight, assuming it's not overcast.

Enjoy the HHV and have a Mai Tai for me. :-)

We've downsized too. I miss having little ones around for the Holidays. 'Hope your wife's cold is better - I can't shake mine.

No worries - we wait for quality!

Jim, we'll be in Missouri, mostly.

NFO, I'll be in the Ozarks, not really known for their tropical drinks. :)

Chickenmom, we may not even put up a full-sized tree next year. Just seems like a lot of trouble when it's only us to see it. And my wife is fine; no cold, just a low-level case of the yucks a week ago.

Guffaw, you're too kind, bro.

Hope the Mrs. continues to improve. And I sure do understand about not posting these busy winter days. Take care.

Thank you, Marianne. I appreciate it.

We've been traveling and not able to keep up with fellow-bloggers. I think that may be the case for so many this time of year. Hope all is well with you and yours and that you carry a dream of spring in your heart to get you through :)

Cathy, that's a lovely thought, and I thank you sincerely for that. :)
