Spring's Arrival: the White Variety

The Spring equinox occurs around 8:30pm tomorrow, but we'll be hard-pressed to notice.

The forecast says we'll have 1 to 3 inches of snow tonight, another 3 to 5 inches tomorrow, and a snow/ice mix tomorrow night. And maybe freezing rain on Sunday.

Welcome to Alaska, pilgrim.

We woke up to snow this morning and it was spitting and cold out all day. Drove down to the cabin and it's sunny and beautiful out. From one mountain range to the next.

Temps here in MI are like a YoYo.

Max - I note that many of the northern states, and places with high elevation, are to get snow today. It started snowing here at 7:45 this morning.

threecollie - you're a bit colder than we are, here in this port city. The water temps have a bearing on the air in the Anchorage area. Get a few miles farther away, and there's both colder air & more snow.

Ed - I hate when that happens. A body never gets acclimated. Makes it tough, and people get sick, too.

Yep. Hubby and I threw sheets across the daffodils last night. You wait so long for that first bloom. Seems everything survived. That's what we do with winter. Survive it :)

No flowers here yet, Cathy; the ground's still frozen solid. But yes, winter is survival time in the northern climes.
