URGENT CALL TO REPENTANCE: All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord. And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee. For the Kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules among the nations. (Psalm 22:27-28)
Reverend, in Scaling The Secular City J. P. Morland has a fabulous discussion about some writings from ancient writers we have, the length of time between when they wrote and the earliest manuscript we have of their work, and how (generally speaking) people uncritically accept these as true, while ignoring the much better evidence we have for the New Testament (portions of manuscripts up to with 60 years of the apostles).
I am really beginning to see the fact that the Church has surrendered the intellectual battle. We have lost the ability to rationally push back and make people questions both their underlying beliefs and the outcome of the beliefs they do have. I suspect the intellectual giants of Christianity - the Augustines, the Luthers and Calvins, the Puritans - simply shake their heads at this point. It is almost as if we are in the position we find ourselves willingly.
Rev, Whenever I read something like that it always makes me smile so hard that my face hurts. I don't know if we're truly in the end times but to know that the good stuff is still coming makes my heart leap!

TB, that is correct. The church may have surrendered, but I have not.
Amen, Reverend.
Be safe and God bless.
Thank you, Linda.
Rev,
Whenever I read something like that it always makes me smile so hard that my face hurts. I don't know if we're truly in the end times but to know that the good stuff is still coming makes my heart leap!
SNBIO, I'm with you. While I'm not crazy about the interim where we may be greatly beset for our faith, I know that He is faithful - and that He wins!
