I wanted to post something pithy

but the news is either lightweight, repetitive, or tiring.

I don't think I can take anymore misinformation and deliberate misdirection from the various "news" sources. As the character of Matthew Farrell says in Live Free or Die Hard:
"The news is completely manipulated. Everything you hear, every single day is designed by corporate media to do one thing only. To keep you living in fear."

I thought about that line when it was uttered, and again today when choosing whether to use it. Frankly, I'm not certain but that it's spot on. It's clear by now, to all but the college snowflakes who run screaming from a post-it note, that the stories are chosen, massaged, and deliberately edited to prevent the listener from knowing the truth.

I can't even work up the desire to post headlines here, to illustrate the point. Frankly, if you've been watching the 2016 Presidential campaign, or the post-election coverage, then you already know.

I am SO done with all this garbage.

Agreed! Sigh...

I definitely agree. It seems only a few on-line websites, like Wikileaks, will give us the truth any more.

Glad to have helped, Rob. :)

NFO - it's going to take awhile to get past the emotional drain of this most contentious election cycle.

Linda - I still check the headlines on Fox News, but I double-check against Drudge & Breitbart.

I'd rather not, WSF, but thanks. ;^)

There remains, however, the enormous entertainment value of the cluelessness of the dems and their lapdog press continuing to run off the edge of the cliff.

PH - as Napoleon said, never interrupt your enemy while he's making mistake.
