More Globular Warm-mongering

Over the last few months, there have been multiple articles about an unprecedented ice build-up in the Arctic.

In fact, a quick search revealed articles going back 2 1/2 years, with similar stories. UN expeditions traversing the "new" northwest passage got stuck in the ice. This expedition and that have been finding the same conditions. A couple of ships had to be rescued by icebreakers.

So what is the local fishwrapper newspaper yammering about, this morning?

Sigh ...  Clearly, they're going to stick to this "fake news" until they freeze to death. Despite multiple reports about the cyclical lull in sunspot activity, the Maunder Minimum, and how we're facing a mini-ice age that could last for 20 to 25 years.

So what are we to take away from all this? This: it's amazing that Anchorage still has a newspaper.

WSF, the only good news is that fewer people are falling for the lies.

Rob, I don't blame you. I never bought into at all, because I remember the "there's too many humans/there's no food and we're all gonna starve!" hysteria of the early '70s, and the "there's no gas and we're all gonna have to walk" garbage of the late '70s and early '80s. It's just generate-a-scary-headline-to-keep-the-grants-pouring-in mindset of what used to be science.

Meanwhile, stay warm down there. We're in double digits today for the first time in a week, but there's snow moving in by tomorrow night, and then it'll turn colder again.

Yes, you did - and it was spot on. This is yet another example of the Progressive Left and their buddies in the U.N. trying to come up with a reason to enact massive taxes ... to enrich themselves.
