Visitor Spoke With Forked ... Footprints
When I was leaving work this morning, I noticed some fresh prints which were made sometime after I'd gotten there.
Those are my tracks in, and back out again, and just to the right & bottom center ...
is the the evidence of the large, four-legged critter who crossed my path.
Sandy, one thing that Alaskans typically learn early on is to listen for large animals when exiting the house, or getting out of the car. It only takes once to make a believer out of the rest.

And that is probably just as well! ^_^
Probably so, Linda. A small moose would weigh half a ton, and a large one could push 1,400 lbs. I've no desire to blunder into one in the dark.
Moose or deer?
Had to be a small moose, sir; there are no deer here.
Rev. Paul,
Good thing the moose wasn't walking with you when coming into work.
