A friend asked me to talk about the Lord's timing.
We must remember that He is far more wise than we are, and His timing is perfect, just as He is perfect. Human beings are always in a rush, wanting everything RIGHT NOW. But God knows when we'll be ready, and isn't distracted by our objections. He answers every prayer. Sometimes He says yes, sometimes He says no, and sometimes ... sometimes He says, "You're not ready."
He's like a parade marshal on a high perch, watching the whole progression of Time from beginning to end. We fuss about what we want, and He says, "I know you want it, My child, but you're not there yet. When you get to the right spot, up ahead, then the answer will be waiting for you."
Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”

The good Lord has proven we weren't ready years earlier, and in the past 4 months he's honored...or shall I say answered our prayers in unbelievable ways.
Reverend, I can think of any number of times in my own life where getting what I "wanted" would have destroyed me. It has made me very conscious of what I ask for.

TB, it's true. We all have to learn to thank Him for the times He says "No."
