Too Much Strife?

"Real wisdom, God’s wisdom, begins with a holy life and is characterized by getting along with others. It is gentle and reasonable, overflowing with mercy and blessings, not hot one day and cold the next, not two-faced. You can develop a healthy, robust community that lives right with God and enjoy its results only if you do the hard work of getting along with each other, treating each other with dignity and honor." ( James 3:17-18)

Want to have a peaceful day? Don't stir up strife. Don't speak harshly to co-workers, or customers. Speak the peace of God over your workplace, your home, even your car. Go out of your way to be an instrument of peace!

"If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." (Romans 12:18)

Sometimes hard, but I definitely try.
Thank you for this, and all your posts, Reverend.

Also, try and avoid media. Or really thinking about current events. This also lends itself to greater peace throughout the day, at least for me.

I can definitely understand that, TB. :)

It can be pretty tough to carry out, but it's one of those things which gets easier with practice. Thanks, Linda.

TB, that's a VERY good point. The news can be trying, to say the least!
