Unalaska Police Blotter: Harrassed by a State Trooper

Traffic Crime
Driver reported being nearly rear-ended by another driver near Car Quest. Officers located the suspect driver, who admitted that his view was partially blocked as he backed out of the Car Quest area but denied having been driving recklessly.

Domestic Disturbance
[A man], 48 yoa, was arrested on one count of Assault IV-DV following an investigation into a disturbance at Unisea. The victim and several witnesses provided information indicating that [he] had yelled at, shoved, grabbed, and scratched his girlfriend.

Public Safety
Goals at a local playing field were blown to the end of a field and against a tall fence. Caller expressed concern about the wind lifting the goals over the fence and into nearby houses.

Protective Custody
Alcohol - Officers found in the cab of a pickup a wet, muddy man who was unsure what month it is, did not know where he lived, and was unable to stand up without assistance.

Assault
Officers responded to a fight in progress in a taxi outside the Amaknak Fire Station. According to the driver a passenger, who had allowed another to ride in the taxi with him, had fled after the man to whom he showed such kindness began to fight with him. The victim, whom the taxi driver believed was uninjured, was not located. The alleged assailant was released.

Harrassment
Caller reported feeling harassed because an Alaska State Trooper had given him a ticket at his residence, and had then pulled him over and was standing next to the caller's car window. Caller then said he had other things to do and didn't have time to deal with this.

Wanna bet alcohol was involved in the last one who felt harassed by the State Trooper? :)

Suz, I think "alcohol was involved" is a safe bet on ALL of those.

That's why I wanna go see that place. I think they have alcohol in the tap water.
