Psalm 22:27-28: “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. For the kingdom is the Lord's, and he ruleth among the nations.”
Admittedly I do miss snow. Split the difference weather-wise between Louisiana summers and Alaska winters and I'll move to that place so long as we can ban liberal California transplants. And just imagine combining the Iditarod with Mardi Gras!
ML, if you can figure out how to ban the Commiefornia mindset, you’d have our vote for governor. And combining Mardi Gras with Iditarod is what Nome as been doing for years!
I think that’s as good a description of the Rondy as any we’ve seen. A chance to get out and do something besides run between the car and the house or store.
xx, that's one I hadn't heard before. :) There's an old saying here that "you can always tell when it's Friday, as the weather begins deteriorating in preparation for the weekend." I think our summer will be on a Tuesday this year.

Michigan has two seasons.
Winter and Construction.
We tell the same joke up here, plus "this winter & last winter".

Haha. I remember that clock! :)
I'm not surprised, ma'am. Stay warm.
Linda, I suspect you do.
I can relate here in "thumb" of Michigan. I'd draw it just that way. Also love your banner!
Thanks, 12Paws!

Did you borrow that from Wyoming?
70 with rain the next three days. Then the next cold front. :)
WSF, no but probably could have.
Linda, can’t tell if you’re complaining or bragging. 😊
Summer is July the 4th, right? :-)
If we’re lucky. If not, then sometime in August.
Oh, yeah, I remember that clock well. Which is why Fur Rondy always seemed like city-wide cabin fever more than anything!
*hugs*

Here in Maine, when asked what we plan on doing during the summer, we reply:
"It depends, if it falls on a weekend or not".
