Wow. Only seen the Parthenon in books. that must have been an interesting visit.

No force except when it's rammed down our throats. :-/

Linda, I was stationed in Greece for nearly two years, but this pic is from my first visit to the Acropolis. And yes, the slide into corruption is never so bitter as when they insist that you must go along.

Republics do not tend to last much (practically speaking) beyond 200-250 years. And we are darn close to 250.
