It's -16°, rocketing up to a balmy -7 later today. The continued cold is starting to be a bit o' hindrance for doing chores around the house and yard.
For example, we have a 25' tree which blew down in the front yard, last month. Every time I planned to cut it up for removal, it snowed. Then we got into this cold snap, and said tree froze solid. Well, nearly solid, given its lack of sap, this time of year.
But it's been too cold for me to want to attack it with my small chainsaw, anyway. Am I making excuses? Sure. But the weather hasn't exactly inspired me to long stretches of outdoor activity.
Ah, well, this too shall pass. Let's go to the Word, shall we?

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV
So roll up your sleeves, put your mind in gear, be totally ready to receive the gift that’s coming when Jesus arrives. Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better then; you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, “I am holy; you be holy.”
