Unconstitutional Proceedings

In any court in the United States of America, defendants are guaranteed a representative. Remember the "You have the right to an attorney" portion of the Miranda warning? So when isn't a defendant allowed to have an attorney present, nor to call witnesses in his/her defense?

Never, of course. Except in the U.S. House of Representatives, where due process and defense against spurious charges are set aside by the monkeys Representatives running the circus show, ahem, trial.

Keep this strong-arm thuggery in mind as the show unfolds in the U.S. Senate's main ring.

Oh, and one other thing to keep in mind: a proceeding which is unconstitutional actually has no legal bearing, and is no proceeding at all.

A dog and pony show at the highest levels of our government. This is what we have come to. God help us all.

I’m afraid that it doesn’t rise to that standard.

Yet they are allowed to carry on as if it does.
None of them believing in Jesus OR the Constitution they so glibly tout.
And I am certain that Schiff is possessed and doing the devil's work.

Please Lord help me to remember that you are in control. Thy will be done.

It's pretty much as you say, Linda. However, we are commanded to give Him thanks even in the midst of ugly and/or dangerous times (1 Thessalonians 5:18), so that is our job. Resolving the situation in the District of Crimina ... er, Columbus is His job.

IMO, the 2020 elections will be a referendum on the whole mess. How will it go? Who knows.

You’re right, of course. We should hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst.

You are right, Reverend. Thank you for the reminder.

It can be hard to remember, in the midst of the storm.
