Governor Dunleavy announced today that Alaska goes back to normal on Friday. Everything will be open. Wear masks if asked, and try to avoid crowds. Most of the executive orders will expire. That's about it as far as "rules" go.
Okay, so 95% of normal.
Alaskans, on the other hand, have been behaving as if the quarantine is over for three weeks already.
Meanwhile, we had our first dinner in a restaurant on Monday. Nothing fancy, but enjoyed how clean everything was. Wouldn't it be nice if that continues?

Nice! 🙂
Yay! And yes, it would be nice...
Reverend, state governments made a serious overreach mistake in this in that they allowed things to go on too long and people starting ignoring the government. It will be all the easier next time...
Linda - yes, it is. :)
NFO - the cleanliness will last for a brief time, but with 100% occupancy at restaurants in the very near future ... well, you know.
TB - agreed. If they'd tried it in small stretches, people would grumble, but go along. But clamping down hard, and fining or arresting pastors & parishioners, etc, they've gone WAY over the top. Next time, they could well be greeted with a yawn. And deservedly so!
We're having our first family gathering since this whole virus thing started. It'll be nice to see the rest of the clan, and meet the newest addition!
