Top 10 mushers make it to Ophir
The Iditarod’s GPS tracker shows the first 10 mushers have made it to Ophir. Below are the mushers who checked-in:
- Brent Sass
- Aaron Peck
- Ryan Redington
- Aaron Burmeister
- Ryne Olson
- Jessie Homes
- Michelle Phillips
- Cody Strathe
- Paige Drobny
- Mille Porsild
So far, only Sass, Peck and Porsild have left the Ophir checkpoint and are on their way to Iditarod.

So Sass still has not taken his first break? Interesting. I wonder about the strategy.
It’s hard to say, TB. Every musher goes through experiments with strategies. Sometimes it works; often it doesn’t.
