In the 22 years that we've lived in Alaska, and especially up here in the mountains, we've seen most Alaskan critters: brown and black bears,
snowshoe hares, ptarmigan, you name it. But on Sunday, our new security cameras got a picture of one which I'd only seen the tracks, before.

WoW!! We only see Elk above ~7500', but Deer are all over. We're a bit more urban than you, so most of the critters stay away.
We find Alaska's attitude toward the large wildlife rather refreshing: they've been here longer than we, so we're ready to share it with them. And of course we carry weapons, because we're NOT at the top of the food chain ... and occasionally, the wildlife reminds us of that.
That is a good sized Lynx!
