Historic ruling: Roe v. Wade overturned, abortion laws sent back to the states

By CASEY HARPER | THE CENTER SQUARE

The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday overturned Roe v. Wade, the 1973 decision that prevented states from banning abortion.

The court ruled 6-3 that there is no Constitutional right to an abortion and that it is therefore up to each state to decide how to handle the issue.

“The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled; and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,” a syllabus of the ruling reads.

The high court called the Roe v. Wade ruling “egregiously wrong.”

“Like the infamous decision in Plessy v. Ferguson, Roe was also egregiously wrong and on a collision course with the Constitution from the day it was decided,” the court said. “Casey perpetuated its errors, calling both sides of the national controversy to resolve their debate, but in doing so, Casey necessarily declared a winning side. Those on the losing side – those who sought to advance the State’s interest in fetal life – could no longer seek to persuade their elected representatives to adopt policies consistent with their views. The Court short-circuited the democratic process by closing it to the large number of Americans who disagreed with Roe.”

Several states have already lined up legislation to restrict abortion in anticipation of this ruling.

“Finally, the Court considers whether a right to obtain an abortion is part of a broader entrenched right that is supported by other precedents,” the ruling said. “The Court concludes the right to obtain an abortion cannot be justified as a component of such a right. Attempts to justify abortion through appeals to a broader right to autonomy and to define one’s ‘concept of existence’ prove too much.”

The case in question began with a legal challenge to a Mississippi law banning abortions after 15 weeks. Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch last year requested that the Supreme Court use that case to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The ruling comes after the court last year allowed a Texas law to stand that banned abortions after six weeks, when a baby’s heartbeat is detectable.

A leak from the Supreme Court earlier this year that indicated Roe v. Wade could be overturned sparked controversy and led to protests outside multiple Justices’ homes and a failed assassination attempt against Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Fencing and barricades were erected around the court, and law enforcement presence increased after the leak. Demonstrators on both sides gathered outside the court all week along with law enforcement in anticipation of the ruling.

Pro-life advocates celebrated the ruling.

“Laws across the country can now affirm that life is a human right and ensure women have greater access to the support and resources they need and deserve,” Alliance Defending Freedom General Counsel Kristen Waggoner said.

Now, the energy on abortion will likely ramp up at the state level, where each state government can now decide how to handle the controversial issue.

“We now turn to the states to ensure that unborn children and their mothers are protected from the gruesome reality of abortion, and that they receive the care and resources they need to flourish,” Waggoner said. “Mississippi asked the court to overturn Roe because that case was egregiously wrong and had no basis in constitutional text, structure, or history. Additionally, Roe’s changing standards have long been unworkable, which is why so many pro-life laws ended up in court. It also failed to account for changing science, which demonstrates that life begins at conception. Today is a day of celebration, but the battle continues, as states either respect or shirk their responsibility to protect the life and health of women and children.”

This story is developing.

The Impending Violence Over Roe

The predicted violence over the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe versus Wade has begun. The Washington Times reports: “There have been at least 140 incidents of arson, vandalism, and graffiti at Catholic churches since May 2020, and at least 24 attacks on pro-life offices and pregnancy resource centers since Politico published the leaked opinion on May 2, according to interactive trackers launched Tuesday by CatholicVote.

“The incidents include Molotov cocktail attacks on pro-life organizations in Madison, Wisconsin, and Keizer, Oregon. Last week, activists set fires and broke windows at the CompassCare pro-life pregnancy center in Buffalo, New York, and wrote ‘Jane was here’ in graffiti on the building’s exterior.”(1)

The Pro-abortion movement, “Jane’s Revenge,” is now calling for more violence. They have posted placards throughout Washington D.C., stating, “DC CALL TO ACTION…Night of Rage…the night SCOTUS overturns Roe V. Wade hit the streets…You said you’d riot…’ To our oppressors: if abortions aren’t safe, you’re not either.’”(2)

In a recent CharismaNews article, Mat Staver described recent opposition to a prayer rally at the Court, “Our team has been on Capitol Hill praying over the High Court as it prepares to deliver its much-anticipated ruling on abortion. Despite decades of pro-life work around the country and at the U.S. Supreme Court, we've never witnessed such hostile and demonically inspired evil directed at the justices and the judicial system.

The article states that “Black-robed men and women began arriving on the scene, screaming obscenities over the prayers. Screams of ‘[expletive] your God and your religion’ began to fill the air.

“Women dressed like prostitutes began to arrive, leaving little of their exposed bodies to the imagination. They gleefully joined the melee the witches and warlocks had begun.

“A woman walked right up to our podium and stood next to the pro-life speaker. Every time the pro-lifer spoke, the woman would scream unprintable curses into a megaphone pointed at the podium microphone.

“The pro-abortion crowd began cursing the justices, the people praying and, yes, vehemently cursing God Himself.”(3)

Meanwhile, the most pro-abortion administration in history, along with allies in Congress are ramping up the rhetoric regarding their future war for abortion. The Washington Examiner reports that:

“‘The administration continues to explore every possible option in response to the anticipated Supreme Court decision on abortion,’ said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at Thursday’s briefing.

"’If the court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose. And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November,’ Biden said in a statement the day the Dobbs draft opinion leaked. ‘At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law.’”(4)

Republicans are pressuring the Department of Justice to investigate the violence, which they have been very slow to do. Quoting from the Washington Times, “More than 120 House Republicans urged Mr. Garland to investigate the [violence] in a Thursday letter, while Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican, called on the Attorney General to take the attacks seriously or step down. ‘What is the Department of Justice doing to protect Americans from these violent attacks? At a minimum, you should bring federal charges against the perpetrators, where appropriate, and investigate “Jane’s Revenge” as a domestic terrorist organization,’ Mr. Cotton wrote in a letter. ‘If you are unwilling to protect Americans from these attacks, you should resign — although, in my opinion, you should resign in any case.’

“A frustrated Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican, said, ‘there has not been a single charge brought against any individual or group despite the countless pro-life centers in America that have been firebombed and vandalized in recent months.’”(5)

I have been sensing for quite some time that there is going to be great violence in our nation over the coming months. The threats are real. Before I even heard the phrase “summer of rage,” I felt it was coming. The forces on the left are not going to give up even if Roe is overturned, and they will not take a civil approach in their opposition. They will use intimidation, fear, violence, and lies. We must be proactive in our prayers and not wait until this escalates.

The extreme rage is also a confirmation that the roots of this battle are spiritual. The bloodthirsty demons in our nation that have fed on and drawn their authority from the blood of innocent babies are filled with rage. We must not allow our anger and energies to be directed at the people they are using. These people are deceived. Many of them will be saved in the coming revival - Jesus loves every one of them. Pray against their efforts but for their hearts.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians 6:12; NASB).
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5; NASB).
This battle must be won first in the spiritual realm, then the natural. As we do our part spiritually, others can do what they need to do naturally. Please remember this.

Pray for the protection of pro-life leaders. Pray for the protection of pastors and intercessors. Pray for the protection and salvation of the protesters. And pray for the protection of the Supreme Court Justices, their families, and their staff. It was recently pointed out to me that had the planned attempt on Kavanaugh‘s life been successfully carried out, it would have changed a likely 5–4 vote to a 4–4 vote regarding the Dobbs case. And Roe would remain the law of the land. We do not know for certain that 5-4 will be the vote count, but it seems so, based on the leak that occurred. Again, we must surround the Justices and their families with walls of protection through our intercession. We are watchmen God has raised up for this nation, and we must be diligent to accomplish our assignment. Finish well!

Pray with me:

Father, thank You for the work You are doing in our nation. Thank You for the prayer movement that has awakened millions of people to the power of prayer. Thank You for teaching us that we can repent on behalf of our nation’s sins, allowing You to break the strongholds over her and bring cleansing. Deliverance and revival do not come to us because we are finally free from our sins; they come in order to free us from them. Jesus said those who are sick need physicians, not those who are healthy.

We place our faith in the power of the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all sin and unrighteousness. We place our confidence regarding this nation‘s future in the destiny and plan You gave and are restoring. We believe You have heard our intercessory repentance and appeals. We believe You are granting mercy. We believe America shall be saved.

So, we declare that the blood sacrifice of abortion will end in our nation. We declare that revival is here and coming. We declare that today’s young generation - teenagers, those in their 20s and 30s - will receive a revival of unprecedented proportions. We declare that churches will be aflame with passion and filled with Heaven’s power. We declare that Your kingdom is coming and Your will is being done. We declare all of these things in the name of Jesus, the One who holds all authority in Heaven and on earth.

Our decree:

We decree that while some are calling for a summer of rage, we, the church, are declaring it to be a summer of love.

Roe vs. Wade

The Give Him 15 posts must be written and recorded the afternoon or evening before the day of their release. This is why yesterday’s post did not deal with the Supreme Court decision on the Dobbs abortion case. I don’t need to explain what was ,leaked - I’m sure everyone has heard by now. I do have a few thoughts to share today regarding the developments, however.

Rejoice but Stay Focused

First, rejoice but stay focused. In Ezra 3 the Israelites were attempting to see Jerusalem restored. The first step was rebuilding the Temple. After the successful laying of the foundation, there was a great celebration - they poured a slab and threw a party. However, their enemies regrouped very quickly, organizing an intimidation and slander campaign, including the hiring of lobbyists. It wasn’t long before they succeeded in stopping the rebuilding process; the delay lasted 16 years. Their diabolical scheming had worked. God had to raise up two prophets, Haggai and Zechariah, to motivate the Israelites to restart the work. We must take a lesson from this. We’re deceiving ourselves if we think the enemies of Christ in America, backed by demonic powers, will give up in their attempt to take over this nation. Ultimate victory over their efforts will not occur until a great awakening turns the hearts of tens of millions of Americans. This will happen - America shall be saved.

Not only must we see revival, but there is still much work to be done on the practical side. Regarding the abortion issue: if this ruling holds, it will not make abortion illegal, but simply send the decision to the states to do as they choose. A few will completely outlaw the process, others will put strict limitations on it, and still others will continue to murder babies - some even after they are born. Sadly, many in America have seared consciences.

That being said, the reversing of Roe is absolutely critical to the turning of our nation; God holds nations accountable for the decisions of their leaders. America, as a whole, has fed Baal and Molech the blood of innocent babies for 50 years. That national curse can now be broken, if the decision stands. Please don’t forget that no decision is final until formally released by the Court.

This Was Planned

There is little doubt in my mind that this was all planned and coordinated by the left. I don’t believe for one minute that a single rebel secretly decided to do this, then late Monday night government officials on the left began scrambling to take advantage of it. Their prepared statements were ready and began coming forth immediately - some Monday night, others Tuesday morning. A number of government officials on the left actually used the same phrases, one of which was “we will fight like hell.” (Don’t use that phrase if you are a conservative, by the way. Your words will be twisted to mean you are promoting physical violence, and the Homeland Gestapo will pay you a visit.) This was a coordinated effort to re-engage the left, many of whom have lost faith in Biden and the Dems. They have felt the effects of runaway inflation, seen the pathetic state of affairs at the border, and are shocked at how quickly Biden is losing his cognitive abilities. Something drastic needed to happen to awaken the base before the November elections. Yes, the ruling would have likely happened anyway in June, but this leak gives them more time and the ability to get out in front of it. They will try to pass a national law legalizing abortion, and there will come attempts to pack the Supreme Court, all of which will re-energize their base.

Yes, it is a despicable breach of protocol to politicize the Court in this way, but the reality is that they politicized the Court a long time ago. And as far as leaks go, they had no problem leaking information from the Oval Office, the most powerful office in the world. In fact, they praised and lauded the leakers, calling them “whistleblowers.” If they would do that to the President, why would they not do it to the Supreme Court? It is certainly no more sacred an institution than the Presidency of the United States. These people know no shame. They are liars and are hell-bent on changing this nation into a globalist, antichrist nation.

Jubilee

My friend, Tom Schleuter, sent me an article he wrote yesterday morning regarding the biblical concept of Jubilee. (You can read the entire article ,here.) Here is a portion:

“Forty-nine! On the night of May 2, 2022, as I was falling asleep the Lord told me to remember the number forty-nine…As I woke up the next morning, the number was again prominent in my thoughts.

“The Lord took me back to a memory in February of 2001. I had just returned from a prayer assignment in Germany with my good friend, Beth Alves. During my preparation time for the next Sunday message the Lord said to me, ‘I want you to concentrate on the number forty-nine.’ I wasn't sure what He was talking about until He clarified and said, ‘I want you to preach this Sunday on Jubilee.’ I struggled a bit with His request because I knew that our church would be celebrating its 50th-year Jubilee a year later in 2002. But He persisted, so I began studying and reading the passages referring to Jubilee in Leviticus 25:8-22. [In short, all property was returned to its original owner, all debts were forgiven, and all who had sold themselves into slavery in order to pay debts were freed. This was all a prophetic picture of Christ our Jubilee - restoring and forgiving us.]

“By reading and meditating on the above verses one can see that there are many powerful blessings the Lord releases during the Jubilee season. And I use the word season because it literally takes place over a three-year period. In 2001 our congregation was entering its 49th year and the Lord was making it very clear to us that He was taking us into the process of Jubilee, so I preached on Jubilee that next Sunday. Within the next few weeks, there was a tremendous unexpected blessing poured out on our congregation. We received a gift of a grand piano; a woman sowed a significant financial gift and a $100,000 restoration was done to the interior of our building; other tremendous financial gifts come in. But perhaps most importantly, the Lord began to fine-tune our vision of being a strategic House of Prayer, to Arlington, TX, the state of Texas, and the nation.

“One powerful aspect of Leviticus 25 is that the Lord answers a question that had been asked by the people, ‘What are we to do if we cannot sow during the 49th year, which is also a Sabbath year?’ They were concerned. If they didn't sow in the 49th year, they would have nothing to eat in the 50th year. But the 50th year was set aside as a time of God’s providential and powerful blessing upon the people. They were not to work, plow, sow, or reap. The Lord would make sure there was enough reaped in the 49th year to sustain them in the 50th and 51st years!

“Why would God again bring up the number 49 to me? Because we are in the 49th year of Roe versus Wade. January of 2023 will be the 50th anniversary of the decision. The Lord began making it clear to me that it is time to press in for Jubilee, to prepare for Jubilee's deliverance and blessing. Just as with Israel, this is not a time to be fretful or worrisome about provision. It's a time to concentrate on Jubilee and on the tremendous providential blessings the Lord is about to bring upon America during the 50th year.

“We must continue to press in with prayer during this season. We must finish this race, and cross the finish line. We cannot give up in the last moments as we proceed toward victory. The curse that has been upon our nation for almost 50 years is about to be removed because of the blood of Christ and the faithful intercessions of God’s ekklesia. The work of many in prayer, legislation, fervent lobbying, and the constant calling forth for life for our nation is bringing about a great Jubilee blessing.

“But again, we must persevere. It has been prophesied by several that the next three years will be a season of great spiritual warfare, a time of great conflict regarding the issue of life and death, blessing and cursing. We must rise up as God's chosen people, sons and daughters of the Most High God, and continue to pray that life and Jubilee will be released over our nation. It's 49, and we are heading toward 50.”

Pray with me:

Father, we thank You for the changes occurring in our land. Yet, we know we have much ground to retake. We ask You for supernatural help, and we know this is coming. Our greatest help will come through the revival You are sending. Changed hearts will change minds, which will bring about great societal change.

We ask You to cause every Justice voting to overturn Roe to hold fast. And we ask for an awakening of the conscience of our nation. May America fall in love with the babies again and protect life at all costs. We ask You once again to forgive us for this great evil. Heal those that have been touched by it, and give America a fresh Jubilee start. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Jubilee. Amen.

Our decree:

We decree that Roe versus Wade will be overturned and America will experience the freedom of Jubilee.

Our Roots are Alive

Liberals in government, education, and media attempt to revise America’s history - except, of course, when it supports their cause. One of their most famous revisions is the “separation of church and state” myth, which they have dishonestly used for decades. The “wall of separation” phrase was used by Thomas Jefferson in a letter, not in the Constitution. He was assuring denominational leaders that our government would never be controlled by one religious group (as had been the case in England), nor would government have the right to control the church (as also occurred in Britain). NEVER was it implied by our founders that God and religion were to be prohibited from influencing government, education, or public life. Nor is it true that government money (which is really ours!) or public facilities were to be prevented from use by the church. These are all lies designed to remove the influence of God from our nation.

It may surprise you that the man who wrote the phrase, “wall of separation”, (Thomas Jefferson) attended a church service in the Capitol 2 days later! (1) Numerous presidents and members of Congress attended church services there - for decades! - including John Quincy Adams, James Madison, Lincoln and others. Adams explained why he attended: “I consider it as one of my public duties - as a representative of the people - to give my attendance every Sunday morning when Divine service is performed in the Hall.”(2)The Rostrum of the House Speaker was used as the pulpit, and Congress purchased the hymnals! I realize you probably weren’t taught this in our public school system, which now propagandizes and revises history, but it is true.

Actually, the Capitol was used for church services before ever being used by Congress. Approved December 4, 1800, by both the House and Senate, (3) services began before the entire Capitol was completed and Congress itself could move in. Jefferson, as Vice President at the time and therefore leader of the Senate, approved it on behalf of the Senate. He attended the services for years, throughout his time as Vice President and President, (4) had a designated seat, (5) and was so committed to it he even made the journey in inclement weather. (6)

Services first began to be held in the north wing of the Capitol, moved to Statuary Hall as they grew in number, and eventually landed in the House Chamber. It was, in fact, the first official use of the Chamber on December 13, 1857, with as many as 2000 people in attendance! (7) Services were interdenominational, speakers were local pastors or the House and Senate Chaplains, (8) and included women (9) and blacks. (10) Some churches were actually allowed to use it as their meeting place until they procured other buildings. (11) And when needed, the Supreme Court Chamber, then in the Capitol building, was also used! (12,13) How ironic is that!

Don’t allow the lies of politicians and educators to deceive you. Our Founders were God-honoring and God-fearing men and women and were guided by Judeo-Christian ethics. 106 of the first 108 colleges in America, including the Ivy League colleges, were Christian. We must never accept the efforts of the left to steal our godly roots.

Pray and decree with me:

Father, Nehemiah told Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, those trying to stop him from rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem, they had “no historical right” or “claim” to Jerusalem (Nehemiah 2:20; NIV and Expanded Bible). We echo those words today regarding those who want to transform America into a non-Christian nation: they have no covenantal, historical right to America. You, who own all the earth, raised up America for Your purposes. We stand in Your authority and decree that we forbid this to be stolen.

And though we have previously lost ground in this spiritual war, You have told us America shall be saved. Your mercies endure forever, and we ask now for this never-ending mercy to be extended. We overthrow, in the all-powerful name of Jesus, the forces of darkness trying to disconnect America from her Christian roots. We declare that the systems and groups these forces are using will be unsuccessful in every way, and that many from within them will come to Christ.

We declare with our Founders that America has “no King but Jesus,” and will serve no other gods. We declare that our roots are still alive and will once again bring forth the fruits Holy Spirit intends America to produce. We will experience a turnaround comparable to the great restorations of Israel. We declare that we will be a light and blessing to the nations of the earth.

And we pray now for complete deliverance from the principalities and powers, led by Baal, who have orchestrated America’s spiritual decline. We ask You, Father, to do as You spoke in the World Seers Series dream and destroy the voice of Baal-Zephon in America. You began a concerted effort in 2007 to deliver us from this spirit and restore us to covenant with You, and we ask for this to now be brought to conclusion. Full victory. One hundred percent. Deliver us from Baal and his coworkers.

We ask for victory in the Dobbs abortion case being decided now by the Supreme Court. We ask You to speak loudly and clearly to 5 or more Justices, motivating them to vote for the overturning of Roe versus Wade. End this hideous child-sacrifice system in America. And please heal all who experience grief, shame, and physical damage from having been involved. Prepare the church for our role when this law ends. May we be ready to take the unwanted children and give them loving homes and families. Bring about an amazing and unprecedented movement of adoption in America.

Father, we thank You in advance for the great revival that is beginning. We thank You for millions of people coming to know You in this nation, and hundreds of millions around the world. We thank You for the incredible revival coming to the campuses of America and the world. Thank you for saving a generation from the strongholds of humanism, rebellion, drugs, immorality, gender confusion, and more. May they taste and see just how good You are. May they fall in love with Your Word and become acquainted with Your ways.

We ask You to continue to transform the church. Mature us into the glorious church You spoke of in scripture. Build the Ekklesia You promised to build that cannot be overcome by the plans and government of hell. Bring revelation of our strength in You. Show us, the members of Your church, that we are more than conquerors, are overcomers, and can do all things You ask us to do through Your mighty power. We ask and decree all of this in the all-powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

We Must Not Miss This Opportunity

From Dutch Sheets:

I appreciate Intercessors For America. Their long and fruitful track record of praying for America is unsurpassed. In the following report, Dave Kubal shares from an interview with former Governor of Mississippi, Phil Bryant, regarding the upcoming (December 1, 2021) Supreme Court abortion case.

“As Mississippi Governor from 2012 to 2020, Phil Bryant attacked key social ills. Rates for unemployment, high school dropouts, and teen pregnancies hit record lows during his tenure. But what he really wanted to stop was abortion.

“In an interview with IFA’s Dave Kubal, Bryant shared: ‘The number one issue— the first thing we all do as governors or anyone in public life— is public safety. To protect the lives of our citizens. These (pre-born children) are citizens. And they deserve due process. They deserve the constitutional rights of every citizen of the United States. They are children of God and we must lay down our lives, if necessary, to protect them.’

“Hope for doing this came with the heartbeat bill and the science of the sonogram. ‘At about fifteen weeks, you can detect…that heartbeat, the brain is beginning to mature. Life clearly exists,’ Bryant said. ‘So it was a viability question. Is that child viable? Is it a human life? And if it is a human life, does the state of Mississippi have a right to protect it? We said it does and we are going to fight it all the way to the Supreme Court.’

“This case—Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health—aims directly at Roe v. Wade. Bryant said, ‘Our 10th amendment said all of those laws that are not prohibited—powers that are not specifically given to the federal government—are those of the states. We believe this is a state’s’ rights issue.’

“Bryant is no stranger to the court system. He was sued over the state flag, religious freedoms, even the state budget. ‘And all of the cases went to the same judge. Remarkably the same Obama-appointed judge got every case in which I was sued,’ Bryant said.

“But things went differently with the lawsuit over the heartbeat bill. ‘It went to the Fifth Circuit and the Fifth Circuit said, “We’re trying to deliberate as to whether or not we will hear it,’” Bryant said. ‘And the United States Supreme Court said, “We are going to hear it.” We’re going to pull that out and bring it before the United States Supreme Court. Remarkable that this is happening at this time.’

“Bryant isn’t shy about his goal: ‘[These judicial activists] thought it was a big deal, “Oh we got him to admit that he wants to [end abortion in Mississippi].” Praise God I do! You got me! If you want me to say I want to end abortion, you got me. I’ll write it down and testify to it.’

“His testimony is fueled from heaven. ‘I was just looking this morning at my devotional Jesus Calling. It says “Do not let any set of circumstances intimidate you. The more challenging your day, the more of My power I place at your disposal. Amen,’” Bryant said. ‘That is for today. He is placing His power at our disposal for this purpose and we can’t let any set of circumstances intimidate us.’”

The battle for life in America has been long, indeed. Winston Churchill once said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” As usual, the great Churchill’s wisdom was profound. There have been many failures in this battle, but I believe the courage and tenacity to continue will, indeed, prevail. Charles Spurgeon once said, “Through perseverance, the snail reached the ark.”(1)

While preparing to visit the Supreme Court for my first time in the early 90’s, Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “Now I’m going to show you where the strongman over America lives.” (See Matthew 12.29) No person or persons has opened the door to more evil in America in the last 60 years than the Supreme Court. There have been some great and righteous Justices over that span, as there currently are, but nonetheless, the Court’s legislation and approval of evil have been unsurpassed. Their decisions have not only made a mockery of the Constitution, but they have shaken their fists in God’s face, epitomizing Psalm 2:1-3 (TPT):

“How dare the nations plan a rebellion. Their foolish plots are futile! Look at how the power brokers of the world rise up to hold their summit as the rulers scheme and confer together against Yahweh and His Anointed King, saying: ‘Let’s come together and break away from the Creator. Once and for all let’s cast off these controlling chains of God and His Christ!’”

Interestingly, as I write this, my friend Matt Lockett just texted me. Matt leads the Justice House of Prayer in DC, the prayer group which has prayed daily at the Court (with the red “LIFE” tape) for over a decade. He told me: “It’s interesting that Ken Malone’s dream, ‘Damn the Torpedoes’ was on 7-22. This year, the Mississippi brief arrived at SCOTUS on 7-22. Leading up to that a prophet said to me that we needed to be prophesying Daniel 7:22 over the state’s brief. We did, and they changed their legal strategy to openly calling for the overturning of Roe vs Wade.”

... The verse Matt referenced, Daniel 7:22, tells us: “Until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom” (NASV). I and others have prayed this verse over America for years. We must pray it now as never before. It is time for this evil and despicable law to be overturned.

We must also pray that the evil hold of this principality over the Court be broken once and for all. Its power base there has been long and strong. Many will go there to march and cry out for death from now leading up to the case. Others of us will go to cry out for life. Join us in praying Daniel 7:22 and in binding the evil hold over the Supreme Court.

Pray with me:

Father, we have asked You many times to cleanse us for the shedding of innocent blood in our nation. Millions of prayers of repentance have been offered regarding this. The evil principality, Baal, has been empowered to control our nation through these blood sacrifices for over 5 decades. 60 million babies have been sacrificed to this spirit.

Yet, in Your mercy, You have kept us free and preserved our destiny as a nation. We have received grace upon grace. Now, we have come to an opportunity for breakthrough. We ask You to release the power of Holy Spirit to influence the Supreme Court of America. We ask that they be moved upon to reverse this evil. Influence their thinking; ensure that they not be influenced by any wrong thinking, deception, or demonic pressure. May they boldly and courageously do what is right. And may it further the process of breaking this stronghold off of America.

We thank You for saving America!

“Jesus, I plead Your blood over my sins and the sins of my nation. God, end abortion and send revival to America.” [This is a 22-word prayer Lou Engle wrote to replace the 22-word prayer the Supreme Court ruled was unconstitutional - the Engle vs. Vitale case of 1962.] Amen.

Our decree:

We decree that the evil law, Roe versus Wade, will be overturned in America.
