Bayou Renaissance Man: Well said!

Bayou Renaissance Man: Well said!:   I said last Friday that "If President Trump had won re-election in 2020, he would never have had the same impact as he's had this year".  I know many have said something similar; it's not an original insight. However, I've never seen it better expressed than by William E. Wolfe on X:"

GO READ THIS ONE. You'll be glad you did. :)

A Word of Caution

I'm repeating here a very thoughtful opinion piece on the Supreme Court's decision to allow President-elect Trump's lawfare case in NYC to continue. After reading it carefully, it seems to express just the right balance of jurisprudence and popular thought.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
From Dutch Sheets:

Much of the news lately regarding our national government has revolved around the Presidency and Congress. Understandably so. However, we must not forget to pray for the Supreme Court. They wield incredible power, which in America’s history has been used for both good and evil. With the great influence they hold in our nation, we must pray that they will continue to shift toward America’s founding principles and righteousness.

Last Thursday (January 9, 2025), the Court ruled 5-4 that the sentencing of Trump in New York for 34 counts of falsifying business records could go forward. Justices Roberts, Barrett, Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson ruled to allow it; Thomas, Alito, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh said no. Thus, the sentencing occurred and, as presiding Judge Merchan had stated in advance, he issued an “unconditional discharge,” meaning there would be no fines or jail time.

Most conservatives believe that the Dems, including Judge Merchan, have been using the multiple cases against Trump as lawfare, attempting to keep him from winning the recent presidential election. After he won, in spite of their efforts, those on the Right believe Merchan’s actions continued in order to humiliate and demean Trump. Indeed, they now brand him as a felon. Most experts I have heard address Merchan’s case believe it was so unlawful, and his rulings from the bench were so egregious, that Trump’s conviction will unquestionably be overturned on appeal.

My purpose in mentioning this Supreme Court decision, however, is not to discuss the case; I’m certainly not qualified to do that. It is rather to comment on and pray for Justice Amy Coney Barrett. She has received tremendous criticism from those on the Right for her vote in this case. Chief Justice Roberts, while also touted as a conservative, has sided with the Left so often that it is not nearly as surprising when he does so. Barrett, on the other hand, was believed to be a staunch conservative when placed on the Court, and was loved by the Right. Since then, however, she has sided and voted with the Left more than once, to the bitter disappointment of many conservatives. This decision involving Trump is a case in point, and the criticism has been vicious. I feel a word of caution is in order.

Why Did She Vote As She Did?

I am certainly not a legal scholar, but in speaking with trusted conservative attorneys regarding Barrett’s decision, as well as listening to the insights of several more (including law professors), it appears that Justice Barrett took the typical course most Justices take on a criminal appeal such as this. In short, the Justices do NOT like to interrupt the normal legal process, preferring instead that cases run their normal course before getting to them. Understandably, I’m told, they make a great effort to honor “the process,” avoiding appearances - whenever possible - of dishonoring lower courts and judges.

Accordingly, the 5-Justice majority stated: “Trump’s state-court trial can be addressed in the ordinary course on appeal.” They added shortly thereafter that “the burden that sentencing will impose on the President-Elect’s responsibilities is relatively insubstantial,”(1) in light of the sentence Merchan was intending to impose. Again, in my layman’s terms, they were saying: Trump won’t be hurt by allowing this case to run its course all the way through the normal appeals process.

Those with whom I spoke and to whom I listened were NOT defending the majority decision, which of course included Amy Coney Barrett; they were simply explaining what they felt occurred. To quote one of them, who shall remain unnamed, “She took the ordinary course on a criminal appeal; it would be highly unusual in an ordinary case for the court to intervene at this stage. However,” he pointed out, “this is not an ordinary case. She treated the extraordinary as ordinary, and that is inappropriate. By attempting to treat this case no differently than others she missed the bigger point, which is that this case is very different from others. It involved a historic and unprecedented corruption of the criminal justice system to unjustly charge a former President of the United States – the most powerful nation in the world – attempt to imprison him, and interfere with his possible reelection. This case is truly extraordinary, and extraordinary cases call for extraordinary measures. Barrett seems to miss the forest for the trees. She is so focused on not treating Trump differently that she ignores the fact that he has already been treated differently.”

Another attorney made the point that it was inappropriate NOT to interrupt “the process,” because this process was flawed from the beginning. And whereas the highest court in America was given the opportunity to correct this by stopping the flawed process, it was ludicrous to not do so. In other words, by wrongly elevating the process of justice in this case, they allowed injustice to continue. As contradictory as it sounds, due process is not the goal; due process is to get us to the goal; it’s the means, not the end. And when the means is flawed, as it was in this case from the start, and the opportunity comes to correct that, it becomes irresponsible not to do so.

Again, I’m no legal expert, but that seemed logical to me.

Jesus showed us that it is indeed possible to so elevate a process, or even a law, that we make it sacrosanct. And in doing so, we sometimes sacrifice logic, wisdom, and even common sense. Ironically, the virtue of striving to meticulously follow a law can at times produce wrong decisions and outcomes. The Pharisees had a legal right under the law - some would argue a responsibility - to stone the adulterous woman brought to Jesus (John 8:1-11). According to Leviticus 20:10 and Deuteronomy 22:22, it seemed that both parties to adultery were always to be stoned. Not so, Jesus’ words and actions - His verdict - demonstrated. Think about it, the actual Giver of the law didn’t adhere to the law, the “process,” in this case. Instead, He said to the woman, “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more” (John 8:11).

When refusing to condemn the woman, Jesus wasn’t condemning the law, either. He simply understood that the law being referenced, in and of itself, wasn’t the goal; it wasn’t the end of the matter. The purpose of the law was to keep evil practices from becoming acceptable in Israel (see Deuteronomy 22:22). Doing so, however, didn’t take precedence over repentance and God’s redeeming love.

Being a wise judge, especially at the Supreme Court level, involves properly understanding and interpreting the Constitution, then applying it with wisdom and reason in cases and laws. Doing this, while simultaneously avoiding the slippery slope of prioritizing/implementing one’s own ideals, is a daunting assignment, and is also a very weighty bestowed trust. That is why there are nine Justices on the Supreme Court. Their interpretations and reasonings vary, are at times inadequate, can be shaped by past paradigms and, sadly, can even be influenced by their personal preferences (i.e. legislating from the Bench). Therefore, due to the gravity of their role, the challenge of their responsibility, and their humanness, we rely on their collective reasoning.

Does Amy Coney Barrett now lean to the Left? I don’t think so. In my humble opinion she at times, demonstrating her humanness, falls prey to not adding wisdom to her virtue and knowledge, thereby making the “process” and/or “letter of the law” the ultimate goal.

What should be our position and response as intercessors?

Firstly, don’t speak evil of Justice Barrett (or any of the Justices), leveling accusations and word curses. Instead, pray for her.

Ask God to give her greater wisdom to operate alongside her tremendous intellect, knowledge, and good intentions…to reveal to her when being micro correct will result in being macro incorrect.

Ask God to give her a heart that submits fully to Him, and is immune to criticism.

Pray for the safety of her and her family.

Pray with me:

Father, You made very clear to us that we are to prioritize praying for our government leaders. We have no right to criticize them if we do not pray for them. Thank You for the changes that are occurring, for the godly individuals that are now functioning in our government. We ask You to give us more leaders who desire to follow Your will and ways.

You said in Isaiah 1:26: “I will bring back legislators who have integrity, people like your founding fathers—principled decision-makers. Then your city will be called honorable and just, a model of ethics, trustworthy, and strong” (The Voice Translation).

We pray for Justice Barrett, and all of our Supreme Court Justices. Give them wisdom and understanding as they apply knowledge. Their responsibilities are so great, the challenges so huge. Cause them to humble themselves and acknowledge their need for Your help in making sound decisions. Those who need to make changes and adjustments to their beliefs, please cause this to occur. Those who have hardened their hearts in ways that prohibit this, please remove them and give us Justices who fear Your name and honor Your ways. We ask all these things in Yeshua’s name. Amen.

Our decree:

We decree that God will give us leaders who are principled decision-makers, filled with integrity, and whose hearts honor Him.

Finish The Job

The faces may change, but their plan continues. In fact, I believe this is the plan.

"Now, what should WE do? Apart from our civic duties, we must continue to pray, and increase prayer. The tendency of humans, including believers, is to place their trust in people rather than God. This often occurs subconsciously - without us even realizing it. We must not do this. I wholeheartedly believe Donald Trump and those he surrounds himself with will work hard to do everything he promised. But he/they CANNOT do it without God’s supernatural help. By Trump’s own admission - and which has now been clearly seen - he cannot even stay alive without God’s protective hand."

My Response to the Debate

by Dutch Sheets

Since I am confident about who should and shouldn’t be our next President, I did not watch last night’s debate live, but spent the time walking my backyard praying. I have, however, seen many clips, heard much analysis, and read quite a few responses.

I was confident Trump would be in command of the issues, as he was. In light of that, I felt that His demeanor and attitude would determine the effectiveness or inadequacy of his performance. Most feel he did well in this regard: strong but not mean-spirited, assertive but not overly argumentative, confident but not arrogant.

Biden, of course, was an unmitigated disaster in every way, which was no surprise to many. This begs the question: What is the overriding plan in all of this? The left is devious but not stupid. They have a plan.

It is now time to make some direct statements saying what many believe but are hesitant to say. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see that Biden is unfit for the Presidency. With no disrespect whatsoever, most would say that were he an ordinary citizen and the possibility existed, he wouldn’t be trusted with a solo trip to the local drug store. No caring family would dare trust him with the car keys, not just for his own safety, but for that of everyone else on the road. And no family - or leaders of a political party - would trust him to debate in front of millions, let alone run a nation. Biden is clearly not in charge. All of which raises several questions:

Did Biden’s decline escalate and progress more rapidly than expected? Did those pulling the strings initially think they could use him for eight years? If they thought so, this is clearly no longer the case.

Did the Dems really want the debate? I doubt it. The conditions were so outlandish and unfair that NO ONE would say yes to their terms. But Trump did! Which probably sent panic to those in charge, along the lines of hell’s panic when Jesus showed up demanding the keys.

When Trump said yes, did Biden’s handlers hold out hope that with a week of rest, dozens of hours of prep by 15-20 “experts” (and probably the list of questions), possible drugs, and their lopsided terms, Biden could bluff his way through 90 minutes? If that was their hope, it was dashed in less than 10 minutes. But I’m not sure those in control could have been that delusional.

Was the embarrassment of Biden’s Thursday night performance part of a plan to replace him? I’ve repeatedly said that I don’t believe Biden will be on the ticket in November. That isn’t prophecy, just an educated opinion and a feeling I have. I’ve felt that with his rapid decline, he could not continue to fool Americans enough to be reelected and remain the puppet of the puppeteers behind the curtain. BUT THESE MANAGERS HAVE NO INTENTION OF STEPPING ASIDE. When seeing Biden’s freefall, was this debate the beginning of their replacement plan? Perhaps.

If so, will Biden continue cooperating with those in control and step aside at the most fortuitous time for the replacement to be inserted?

Or, has he, in his demented state, bullish nature, and tremendous arrogance, convinced himself that he is fit and up to the job? Has he now rebelled against his handlers? He says he isn’t stepping down; this, of course, could simply be part of the plan to wait for the right time.

If Biden does buck those in charge, what will they do? They DO have a plan. And they WON’T willingly give up power. Biden is unelectable and WILL be removed, unless they have a plan or crisis prepared with which to take the election in some other way.

And finally, who are “they”? “They” do exist. There may be a point person, but clearly, a group of people is ruling America. I don’t know who, but they would have to be comprised of:

  • Ultra-rich individuals - the money behind them is mind-numbing.

  • Globalists - they are intent on fundamentally changing America into a weaker, poorer nation no longer capable of leading the free world.

  • Marxists - they espouse socialist ideologies, not capitalism and free enterprise.

  • Those with antichrist dogmas and ideologies - they oppose the church, biblical morality and ideals, and America’s Christian roots.

  • People connected to the Democrat party - this is who they have placed in power.

  • Ruthless individuals - they want power at ANY price, including money or blood.

Call me a conspiracist - I don’t care. Any honest person can see that Biden is not in control of the Presidency. And the most likely scenario is that a small group of people is now pulling the strings, trying to destroy the America we have known.

I am blatantly stating these things to emphasize that we must keep praying. The powers trying to overthrow America are not finished. I say again, they have a plan. Part of that plan has been to destroy and/or defeat Trump, one of the few people in the world who can withstand their attacks. I believe they will fail. But they are so entrenched in our nation that only God can enable us to defeat them and turn America around, regardless of who is President.

We have a promise that America shall be saved. I, like many others, have a clear word from the Lord that He is not finished with America. If we continue to repent and appeal to Him for His aid and support, He will do as He promised.

Keep praying, church, keep praying.

Biden’s Speech Had It All Backward

Biden’s Democrats seek a one-party state. Trump’s followers want freedom from government power.

By Lance Morrow
Sept. 4, 2022 9:08 am ET

The Democrats have the “fascist” business wrong.

Donald Trump isn’t a fascist, or even a semi-fascist, in President Biden’s term. Mr. Trump is an opportunist. His ideology is coextensive with his temperament: In both, he is an anarcho-narcissist. He is Elmer Gantry, or the Music Man, if Harold Hill had been trained in the black arts by Roy Cohn. He is what you might get by crossing the Wizard of Oz with Willie Sutton, who explained that he robbed banks because “that’s where the money is.”

As for Mr. Trump’s followers, they belong to the Church of American Nostalgia. They are Norman Rockwellians, or Eisenhowerites. They regard themselves, not without reason, as the last sane Americans. You might think of them as American masculinity in exile; like James Fenimore Cooper’s Natty Bumppo, living in the forest has made their manners rough.

If there are fascists in America these days, they are apt to be found among the tribes of the left. They are Mr. Biden and his people (including the lion’s share of the media), whose opinions have, since Jan. 6, 2021, hardened into absolute faith that any party or political belief system except their own is illegitimate—impermissible, inhuman, monstrous and (a nice touch) a threat to democracy. The evolution of their overprivileged emotions—their sentimentality gone fanatic—has led them, in 2022, to embrace Mussolini’s formula: “All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.” Or against the party. (People forget, if they ever knew it, that both Hitler and Mussolini began as socialists). The state and the Democratic Party must speak and act as one, suppressing all dissent. America must conform to the orthodoxy—to the Chinese finger-traps of diversity-or-else and open borders—and rejoice in mandatory drag shows and all such theater of “gender.” Meantime, their man in the White House invokes emergency powers to forgive student debt and their thinkers wonder whether the Constitution and the separation of powers are all they’re cracked up to be.

Mr. Trump and his followers, believe it or not, are essentially antifascists: They want the state to stand aside, to impose the least possible interference and allow market forces and entrepreneurial energies to work. Freedom isn’t fascism. Mr. Biden and his vast tribe are essentially enemies of freedom, although most of them haven’t thought the matter through. Freedom, the essential American value, isn’t on their minds. They desire maximum—that is, total—state or party control of all aspects of American life, including what people say and think. Seventy-four years after George Orwell wrote “1984,” such control (by way of surveillance cameras, social-media companies and the Internal Revenue Service, now to be shockingly augmented by 87,000 new employees) is entirely feasible. The left yearns for power and authoritarian order. It is Faust’s bargain; freedom is forfeit.

Mr. Trump, the canniest showman in the White House since Franklin D. Roosevelt, introduced into 21st-century politics what seemed to be new idioms of hatred, a freestyle candor of the id. Doing so, he provoked his enemies—and finally Mr. Biden—to respond in kind: a big mistake. In the early 1950s, when Sen. Joseph McCarthy was loose in the land, and roughly half the country supported his anticommunist inquisition, President Eisenhower wisely decided, “I will not get into the gutter with this guy.” It took a while for McCarthy to implode.

When Mr. Biden spoke in Philadelphia the other night, he might have been thinking of FDR’s speech at Madison Square Garden on the night of Oct. 31, 1936, at the end of his presidential campaign against Alf Landon—and, by the way, three months before he tried to pack the Supreme Court. That night, Roosevelt boasted that his enemies (Republicans, plutocrats, et al.) “are unanimous in their hate for me.” With a flourish, he added, “I welcome their hatred!”

Americans, lamenting the divisions of 2022 and, some of them, entertaining fantasies of a new civil war, should refresh their historical memories. The country has been bitterly divided against itself any number of times. The hatreds and convulsions of the 1930s (the era of Huey Long and Father Charles Coughlin and the Silver Shirts, of homegrown tribes of Trotskyists and Stalinists) culminated in the ferocious battle between isolationists and internationalists that lasted until the Sunday morning of Pearl Harbor.

The motif of political hatred returned to America almost as soon as World War II ended. The Alger Hiss case of 1948 warmed up the enmities, and McCarthy blew on the coals and turned half of the country against the other half. Such hatred seems cyclical. The 1960s (assassinations, civil rights battles, urban riots, the Vietnam War) had Americans at one another’s throats again. Those eruptions of political rage occurred in the years when the baby boomers and Joe Biden (who was a few years older) came of age and acquired their idea of what America is all about.

That night in 1936, Roosevelt, warming to the language of hatred, suggested that his enemies should get out of the country: “Let them emigrate and try their lot under some foreign flag.” Mr. Biden—who, as he spoke in Philadelphia, was bathed in a lurid red light that seemed, as it were, ineptly theological—was content to cast his foes into outer darkness.

The Impending Violence Over Roe

The predicted violence over the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe versus Wade has begun. The Washington Times reports: “There have been at least 140 incidents of arson, vandalism, and graffiti at Catholic churches since May 2020, and at least 24 attacks on pro-life offices and pregnancy resource centers since Politico published the leaked opinion on May 2, according to interactive trackers launched Tuesday by CatholicVote.

“The incidents include Molotov cocktail attacks on pro-life organizations in Madison, Wisconsin, and Keizer, Oregon. Last week, activists set fires and broke windows at the CompassCare pro-life pregnancy center in Buffalo, New York, and wrote ‘Jane was here’ in graffiti on the building’s exterior.”(1)

The Pro-abortion movement, “Jane’s Revenge,” is now calling for more violence. They have posted placards throughout Washington D.C., stating, “DC CALL TO ACTION…Night of Rage…the night SCOTUS overturns Roe V. Wade hit the streets…You said you’d riot…’ To our oppressors: if abortions aren’t safe, you’re not either.’”(2)

In a recent CharismaNews article, Mat Staver described recent opposition to a prayer rally at the Court, “Our team has been on Capitol Hill praying over the High Court as it prepares to deliver its much-anticipated ruling on abortion. Despite decades of pro-life work around the country and at the U.S. Supreme Court, we've never witnessed such hostile and demonically inspired evil directed at the justices and the judicial system.

The article states that “Black-robed men and women began arriving on the scene, screaming obscenities over the prayers. Screams of ‘[expletive] your God and your religion’ began to fill the air.

“Women dressed like prostitutes began to arrive, leaving little of their exposed bodies to the imagination. They gleefully joined the melee the witches and warlocks had begun.

“A woman walked right up to our podium and stood next to the pro-life speaker. Every time the pro-lifer spoke, the woman would scream unprintable curses into a megaphone pointed at the podium microphone.

“The pro-abortion crowd began cursing the justices, the people praying and, yes, vehemently cursing God Himself.”(3)

Meanwhile, the most pro-abortion administration in history, along with allies in Congress are ramping up the rhetoric regarding their future war for abortion. The Washington Examiner reports that:

“‘The administration continues to explore every possible option in response to the anticipated Supreme Court decision on abortion,’ said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at Thursday’s briefing.

"’If the court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose. And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November,’ Biden said in a statement the day the Dobbs draft opinion leaked. ‘At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law.’”(4)

Republicans are pressuring the Department of Justice to investigate the violence, which they have been very slow to do. Quoting from the Washington Times, “More than 120 House Republicans urged Mr. Garland to investigate the [violence] in a Thursday letter, while Sen. Tom Cotton, Arkansas Republican, called on the Attorney General to take the attacks seriously or step down. ‘What is the Department of Justice doing to protect Americans from these violent attacks? At a minimum, you should bring federal charges against the perpetrators, where appropriate, and investigate “Jane’s Revenge” as a domestic terrorist organization,’ Mr. Cotton wrote in a letter. ‘If you are unwilling to protect Americans from these attacks, you should resign — although, in my opinion, you should resign in any case.’

“A frustrated Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican, said, ‘there has not been a single charge brought against any individual or group despite the countless pro-life centers in America that have been firebombed and vandalized in recent months.’”(5)

I have been sensing for quite some time that there is going to be great violence in our nation over the coming months. The threats are real. Before I even heard the phrase “summer of rage,” I felt it was coming. The forces on the left are not going to give up even if Roe is overturned, and they will not take a civil approach in their opposition. They will use intimidation, fear, violence, and lies. We must be proactive in our prayers and not wait until this escalates.

The extreme rage is also a confirmation that the roots of this battle are spiritual. The bloodthirsty demons in our nation that have fed on and drawn their authority from the blood of innocent babies are filled with rage. We must not allow our anger and energies to be directed at the people they are using. These people are deceived. Many of them will be saved in the coming revival - Jesus loves every one of them. Pray against their efforts but for their hearts.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places,” (Ephesians 6:12; NASB).
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5; NASB).
This battle must be won first in the spiritual realm, then the natural. As we do our part spiritually, others can do what they need to do naturally. Please remember this.

Pray for the protection of pro-life leaders. Pray for the protection of pastors and intercessors. Pray for the protection and salvation of the protesters. And pray for the protection of the Supreme Court Justices, their families, and their staff. It was recently pointed out to me that had the planned attempt on Kavanaugh‘s life been successfully carried out, it would have changed a likely 5–4 vote to a 4–4 vote regarding the Dobbs case. And Roe would remain the law of the land. We do not know for certain that 5-4 will be the vote count, but it seems so, based on the leak that occurred. Again, we must surround the Justices and their families with walls of protection through our intercession. We are watchmen God has raised up for this nation, and we must be diligent to accomplish our assignment. Finish well!

Pray with me:

Father, thank You for the work You are doing in our nation. Thank You for the prayer movement that has awakened millions of people to the power of prayer. Thank You for teaching us that we can repent on behalf of our nation’s sins, allowing You to break the strongholds over her and bring cleansing. Deliverance and revival do not come to us because we are finally free from our sins; they come in order to free us from them. Jesus said those who are sick need physicians, not those who are healthy.

We place our faith in the power of the blood of Jesus to cleanse us from all sin and unrighteousness. We place our confidence regarding this nation‘s future in the destiny and plan You gave and are restoring. We believe You have heard our intercessory repentance and appeals. We believe You are granting mercy. We believe America shall be saved.

So, we declare that the blood sacrifice of abortion will end in our nation. We declare that revival is here and coming. We declare that today’s young generation - teenagers, those in their 20s and 30s - will receive a revival of unprecedented proportions. We declare that churches will be aflame with passion and filled with Heaven’s power. We declare that Your kingdom is coming and Your will is being done. We declare all of these things in the name of Jesus, the One who holds all authority in Heaven and on earth.

Our decree:

We decree that while some are calling for a summer of rage, we, the church, are declaring it to be a summer of love.

What the Bible Says About Christians and Politics, Part 2

I was disheartened one day when I heard Holy Spirit clearly tell me He was going to teach me about government. This was a time in my life that I still had a distaste for government and knew very little about it. I could not have cared less about the process. My first thought was, “How boring! What have I done to deserve this punishment?”

God’s next statement set me on my heels, “Because I AM government,” He said. He then quoted Isaiah 33:22 to me, “For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us.” I was so glad I didn’t tell God what I was thinking - in my mind I had just called Him boring!!!

Though I’m about to share some theology and Hebrew words - it is a benefit to pastors and teachers who read the posts - don’t get bogged down in the theology and details. That part won’t take long. Here is where I’m headed with it: God IS government, He DELEGATES a portion of His government, and satan wants to USURP His government!

Notice, the verse Holy Spirit quoted to me (Isaiah 33:22) does not say God simply “endorses” laws, judges and kings (i.e. government); it says He IS these things. As I stated yesterday, the Bible uses the word “Lord” 7,946 times, most of them referring to Yahweh. My dictionary said “Lord” means “a person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler.” In other words, it includes government. This means that almost 8,000 times the Bible refers to God as our governmental Head! The entirety of Scripture is about government!

Think about it: one of the primary themes of the Bible is, “Who will rule the earth?” In the first chapter God gets right to the point: “I want family, and My family will ‘rule’ the earth (their home) for Me (Genesis 1:26-28). They will be the extension and expression of My Kingdom’s government there. This is how I will release My influence, My righteous Kingdom ideals and ways, into the earth.” That is true, and it is profound.

The Hebrew word for “dominion” and “rule” in this Genesis passage makes clear that the Creator was delegating to Adam and Eve this responsibility. Radah means “to rule over, to govern.” Psalm 8:3, referring to this passage in Genesis, uses another word, mashal, which also means “rule or govern.” God would govern the earth through humans.

But satan wanted this dominion. He had attempted a coup in Heaven and failed. Banished to earth, his thinking now was, If I can’t rule over God’s entire Kingdom, I’ll at least govern earth. And by chapter 3, he had succeeded in deceiving Adam and Eve, who rebelled from God’s authority and government. Satan took their authority. Yahweh lost His family and they lost their governmental authority over the earth. Satan now had it.

Christ was sent to earth as the second Adam to reclaim both the family AND their governing authority. The story of the Bible is the clash of two kingdoms! From cover to cover God’s Word is about family and government!

If I was satan, one of my most important strategies would be to alienate God’s family, His representatives and ambassadors from government. I’d tell them it’s bad, evil, unspiritual. Let ‘em love God, be His “sheep,” even His family. But 1) don’t let them know they’re His government here on earth (Christ’s Ekklesia), and 2) keep them from involving themselves in any and all government. If I could succeed in this, God’s conduit for releasing His authority on the earth would be rendered ineffective.

Throughout the Scriptures, we can see God’s plan of ruling the earth through people. Consider Abraham, of whom it was said: “Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him. For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him” (Genesis 18:18-19). God determined to bless the entire earth through Abraham. To do so, however, He needed Abraham to command and teach His ways, releasing His justice and judgments into the earth.

God also released His authority, His government, through Moses, Joshua, then through prophets and Judges. He also did so through Kings. Yahweh’s determined plan to release His authority through humans on earth was so consequential that at times entire nations were judged or blessed based on the actions of their government leaders. Think about it: entire groups of people were either cursed or blessed based on the actions of a government leader.

More suffering on earth has taken place because of the actions of government leaders than for any other reason. Millions of people have been killed and persecuted because of government leaders. Poverty has overtaken nations because of government leaders. Cultures and people groups have actually been eradicated because of the actions of government leaders. Sixty million babies in America have been murdered since 1973 because of the actions of government leaders.

And yet, the church embraces a belief that we who represent God’s will and plans on earth should stay out of this arena! We avoid government. When we gather as the church we believe we shouldn’t talk about it. The church feels we should say and do nothing to place into positions of authority those who know and honor God. This is ludicrous, and the ramifications are staggering. The thief, who came to steal, kill and destroy, is left in charge.

We in America have been blessed with one of the greatest privileges in the history of nations: choosing our own government. Yet with this comes incredible responsibility. To forfeit this blessing is more than a waste; it is shirking our God-given responsibility of governing the earth for Him. When the right people are leading our nation, America becomes the greatest force for peace, safety and provision in all the world! We were one of the keys to saving the earth in its two world wars. We were the force that stopped communism around the world. We have become the leading force in health and medicine.

God, and the world, must have a strong America. In order for there to be a strong America, however, there must be a strong and righteous government. The church must be freed from the deception causing us to withdraw from this process, and become involved at every level of government. We must.

In tomorrow’s post we will talk about politics and the political spirit, part of the process satan has used to keep many in the church aloof from government. But it doesn’t have to. God is governmental, but He is NOT political.

Pray with me:

Father, our prayer today is that You teach us Your ways. We must understand Your plans and intentions for us, and for the earth. Ignorance causes us to forfeit so much. May the spirit of wisdom and revelation be taken to a higher level in the church. Teach us how to truly function as Christ’s Ekklesia. Teach we Americans, especially the American church, how to steward the incredible privilege of choosing our own government. Forgive us for relinquishing this right and thereby allowing evil to rule over us.

Continue to help us see our government transformed into a God-honoring, life-honoring, Bible-honoring government once again. We have allowed evil into our government, but in Your mercy give us a quick turnaround. May the elections in November remove many who oppose Your ways, and see them replaced with those who honor You. Thank You for the awakening that is occurring in our nation. Let this awakening be both spiritual and civil, we pray. And we ask these things in Christ’s name. Amen.

Our decree:

We decree that the greatest shift that has ever occurred in an American election will take place this November.

WHAT IS FALSE AND WHAT IS TRUE ABOUT 2022

Presented for your consideration - Paul:

******************************************************

WHAT IS FALSE AND WHAT IS TRUE ABOUT 2022
by Mario Murillo | Jan 3, 2022

2022 is going to fool a lot of people. The same way that 2020 and 2021 fooled them. Do not let yourself be one of those who is fooled again. 2022 will be a year of extremes. It will either be your greatest year of opportunity or a massive missed opportunity.

Here are the big questions that confront us in the New Year:

-Who will lead the charge to restore American Freedom? Will it be Trump or DeSantis? Our present “leaders” have humiliated us before our enemies, stolen our freedoms, and wrecked our economy. It is clear that not only do we need a leader, we need that leader now. We cannot wait for 2024.
-What is the most dangerous distraction that is coming in 2022 for us as believers? It is the vast blanket of deception that evil will drop on us in an attempt to derail our progress and wipe out our gains. Some of that evil will look very Christian, yet it will be anything but Christian.
-How do we avoid being fooled again and chart a course to meaningful victory?

So, we begin. To clear away the cobwebs we need to go back to December of 2019. Remember when almost every preacher predicted smooth sailing in 2020? They said a great victory lay ahead. We were going to prosper, be blessed, and highly favored. But what happened? Within weeks we were locked down and the ‘two weeks to flatten the curve’ we were promised has turned into years that flattened everything but the virus.

How did so many get it so wrong? I remember the firestorm that came against me when I warned everyone that megachurches could suddenly become empty and that Trump needed to act to keep the election from being stolen. As late as October of 2020 I was issuing these warnings. I was ridiculed and condemned for my statements. They were, "See no evil. Speak no evil. Hear no evil."

Now I am issuing new warnings about 2022 and I am going against the grain again.

But my goal is not gloom and doom; it is discernment and preparation in order for you to be able to seize 2022 for the glory of God.

The deception that I see hitting American pastors is their yearning for the good old days. What these preachers do not want to face is that there is no going back. Once again, they are dusting off the therapeutic sermons and the smiley face talking points that fooled them at the end of 2019.

Once again prophets of ease are predicting a wonderful, carefree year—the very same things they said in 2019.

You look around and you see all of the same messages, the same conferences, and the same souvenirs from that moment which fooled them before. To understand the danger, we must look at Samson.
And (Delilah) said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So, he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him (Judges 16:20).

Those who prophesy good times in 2022 are getting it wrong for the same reason that Samson was destroyed. You see, Samson did not lose out with God at that instant. He had lost out even before he met Delilah. God’s approval had lifted off of him, even though power still operated in him. His attitude was, “I will go out as before, at other times.” He believed he could just do what he had always done, and that brought destruction on him.

That is no different from preachers who revert to their old ways—ways that failed to discern the calamity that was at the door. If they do the same things again in this New Year, I foresee a complete removal of their ministry.

It is not about politics. It is about evil.

Once again, we are hearing the tired argument that politics should not be in the pulpit. All around us are distractions from the real war which is to unite; to organize; to expose the last election; and to enforce election integrity in the coming elections.

Now let me say this: You do not need predictions as much as you need direction. False prophecies can be titillating, but they are destructive.

If you want to be ready for 2022, then heed my warning. We do not need to sit around and listen to all the soothing words coming from the pulpit describing how good things are going to be. We need to make something happen. God wants us to rise up in faith against evil. The last thing we need to do is to go back to a lukewarm fantasy world.

So, who led the political charge in 2022? My answer must include a mention of General George S. Patton. You must see Victor David Hanson’s lecture on Patton. In that lecture, he said this explained why Patton was constantly kept from commanding an army: because his superiors did not understand war.

“There is a pattern here of undeniable experience, preparation, and natural genius, who understands the horrific nature of war, and who bothers the people who command him, and yet, time and time again, when he is not given an appointment or a promotion befitting what he has earned on the battlefield, people die. And yet the way that the…therapeutic system justifies that, is that he slapped a soldier.”

The Nazis, who had executed over 25,000 men for cowardice, could not fathom why the Americans would take their most effective general off the frontlines “just for slapping a soldier”.

Eisenhower and Bradley felt pressured by the outraged “therapeutic community” at home. Patton was not only a brilliant general who won battles, he was an unequaled tactician who understood how to win wars. Time and again Patton suggested tactics that were rejected, but were later were confirmed to be right, and because of those rejections, thousands died for no reason.

So, who do I think should lead us now? The answer is Donald Trump.

So, who do I think should lead us now? The answer is Donald Trump. I wholeheartedly trust in his ability to drain swamps. He is our Patton. Once again, the Christian therapeutic system does not like him. He is not sweet. He has given out mean tweets. But we do not need Mr. Rogers right now. We need a political general who understands the evil and will not quit.

How did Trump come to these skills of exposing corruption and forcing deals in America’s favor? He did it in New York City. He faced towering corruption, mind-bending regulations, and criminal enterprises. He built his empire against insane resistance that none of us can understand. That is the skill we need now.

DeSantis is a stunning gift for the future who needs to build his legacy in Florida and win that state for Trump and the Republicans. But that future will not be there, then, unless we have a Patton now, leading the way both in the midterms and in the presidential election.

Our job is clear in 2022. Victor Davis Hanson said it best about the Democrats, “So this is a revolutionary Jacobin movement. I think everybody saw that in 2021 and I think they fear rightly that it’s going to continue in 2022 – even if it explodes and takes us with it. But they’re not going to change on their own.”

The revolution the Democrats are trying to bring is not going to stop— even if it explodes and takes us down with it.

Let that settle in your heart—"the revolution the Democrats are trying to bring is not going to stop— even if it explodes and takes us down with it." And they are not going to change. We have no choice but to stop this threat.

Our job is clear in 2022. We must not back down from our free speech as Christians. We must brace ourselves for a long battle against further lockdowns and tyranny from all directions.

Do not let anyone shame you for believing in American freedom. Do not let the head-in-the-cloud Christians who are binging on emotional experiences distract you from speaking out. We must pray, evangelize, organize, and keep our foot on the gas. Freedom is in sight!

Updates on Afghanistan

Tuesday, we discussed the turning over of Afghanistan to Taliban forces, those, along with Al Qaeda, responsible for 9/11. This happened very quickly and left America and most of the rest of the world stunned. It has been described in a number of news sources as the greatest intelligence failure in our history. Others believe our intelligence sources weren’t wrong, just ignored.

“David Grantham, a national security expert, senior fellow at the Center for a Secure Free Society, and former officer in the Air Force, said the turmoil in Afghanistan is a stain on the U.S. Military, the intelligence community, and the Biden administration.”(1)

“Grantham noted that there was “surprisingly little violence amid the takeover, and the speed at which it was executed tells me the Taliban had plenty of provincial leaders in their pocket or had negotiated their stand down prior to their invasion.

“‘The fact that the intelligence community didn’t know these circumstances, or that the Biden administration ignored those warnings, is the greatest failure I’ve seen in my lifetime,’ he said.

“National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told ABC News on Sunday that Biden ‘did not think it was inevitable that the Taliban were going to take control of Afghanistan.

“‘He thought the Afghan National Security Forces could step up and fight because we spent 20 years, tens of billions of dollars training them, giving them the best equipment, giving them support of U.S. forces for 20 years,’ Sullivan said. ‘And when push came to shove, they decided not to step up and fight for their country.’

“But Schmidt noted that the Pentagon did provide warnings about what could go wrong if the U.S. pulled troops out too quickly.

“‘There are plenty of people who said this thing can go south within a week,’ he said.

“Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., tweeted that the Biden administration ‘was specifically told Afghan forces would surrender faster than our ability to exit.’

“‘They decided to ignore these warnings and smugly tell everyone how smart and brilliant they are.’ Rubio wrote.”(2)

“Rep. Kat Cammack, R-Fla., issued a statement saying White House bureaucrats should be ‘ashamed.’

“While on a Sunday call hosted by Secretary of State Blinken, General Milley, and Secretary of Defense Austin, Cammack said all three officials reiterated ‘more than six times’ that the U.S. was ‘engaging in an orderly and safe withdrawal’ and has ‘planned for all contingencies.’

“She said they noted that the Taliban ‘isn’t in Kabul’ and ‘cut off questions from members, leaving us with few - or no - answers.’”(3)

Though the cost of this unconscionable decision, in terms of human life and America’s ability to lead the world, are incalculable, it will be seen as one of the most foolish and despicable decisions ever made by a world ruler.

Life is precious and to be protected. With the handover of Afghanistan, we have dishonored the immeasurable value of 2448 Americans, over fifty thousand Afghans, and other coalition lives since 2001. The current sweep of the Taliban through the country, taking city after city, has also resulted in a loss of lives. This will now escalate. People are being slaughtered. Christian missionaries and other religious groups know they will not be safe under Taliban rule. Martyrdom is already occurring. In a confidential email I received, a leader shared:

“Pray for the local believers who are now under immense pressure. If the Taliban finds out that they are believers, they will definitely kill them and possibly torture them to get more information about others. Pray also for us for wisdom and how to deal with our local staff and local believers we are in contact with.”

Spiritually speaking, we may be watching the closing of a significant door to a harvest field. Operation World says Afghanistan has the second-fastest-growing “church” in the world, right behind Iran.(4) In fact, The Gospel Coalition says, “Afghans are being reached in large part by Iranians.”(5) Many American missionaries have also been working there to bring Christ to Afghanistan. We must pray that just as occurred in China, the persecution causes even further growth in the number of salvations. A number of Christian media organizations are broadcasting the gospel daily into this desperate country.

Our U.S. military leaders helped create this debacle - at least they are “woke” and teaching our soldiers socialism’s Critical Race Theory. Our honorable soldiers are working hard to get as many of our citizens out of the country now as quickly as they can. “Some 6,000 U.S. troops are expected in Kabul with the objective of keeping the airport open to achieve that goal.”(6) There has been some confusion over how many Americans are still in Afghanistan. Earlier this week, Biden’s spokesperson said 11,000. There are also huge challenges for people trying to get to the main airport in Kabul. Taliban forces and protestors are blocking the way in and some, sadly, have had to turn back. Our government is saying they can fly them out, but can’t help them get to the airport: “Top Pentagon officials said Wednesday that the U.S.military does not ‘have the capability’ to retrieve all Americans who have been unable to reach the U.S.-secured airfield in Kabul.”(7) In a confidential email I received, one Christian humanitarian organization working in the country said, “The Taliban are all over the city and have started to already search through the houses. They have also been at our office and accommodations of our expats. They are checking everybody who wants to go into the airport.”

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin vowed, “We’re going to get everyone that we can possibly evacuate, evacuated. And I’ll do that as long as we possibly can until the clock runs out or we run out of capability.”(8) The U.S. government says they will try to get all citizens out of the country by August 31st. We will not be able to extricate all Afghan citizens who helped us in the war. They are in great peril now under Taliban rule. These are matters for continued prayer.

Military Bases to House Afghan Refugees

Fox News has obtained documents showing the U.S. government is planning to house up to 30,000 Afghan refugees on military bases. “The bases include Fort McCoy in Wisconsin, and Fort Bliss in Texas.”(9) Some churches are already planning how they might support government efforts and assist the refugees when they arrive.

China and Russia See an Opportunity

With Afghanistan being given to the Taliban, they and others in the world see this as a defeat of America. Our geo-political rivals, Russia and China, are looking at how they can take advantage of the situation. The Financial Times quotes Zhu Yongbiao, a Chinese government adviser on central Asia as saying:

“China has benefited from the irresponsible behavior of [the US], which has deeply undermined the international image of the US and the relationship between Washington and its allies.

“Arkady Dubnov, a political analyst and central Asia expert in Moscow had a similar take, ‘We can align our interests [with China] in opposing the US. What is good for us is bad for Americans, what’s bad for us is good for Americans. Today the situation is bad for Americans and so it is good for us.’”(10)

Both countries will now be bolder. Pray for Taiwan, Ukraine, and other places that are now in great danger. China and Russia will also support the Taliban government and look for other ways to benefit from the change in leadership there. Terriorism, curbed somewhat for the last 20 years, is now, once again, unbridled and armed with billions of dollars worth of U.S. weapons, drones, etc. The ultimate victory for them will be using them on us.

Pray with me:

Father, we repent for the sins of our leaders. We ask You to forgive America for broken promises and hardened hearts toward people in Afghanistan. Forgive us for the lies of our leaders. Forgive us for electing ungodly, dishonorable leaders to rule our nation, and for allowing those not truly elected to rule. Corruption abounds in our government. Please forgive us and deliver us.

Father, situations on the earth seem hopeless but this isn’t true. We can ask You for miracles and we can expect them. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Afghanistan. We pray for American citizens, government workers, missionaries, and those who supported our military efforts. Extend Your grace to them, Lord. Hide them from those who would harm them. For the Afghans who come here, give government and civic leaders plans that work well. May all who come, Christian or not, find the love of Christ in America.

And Father, we ask for the great harvest of souls in Afghanistan and Iran to continue. We ask for it to be many millions - a stunning revival. We ask for this in other nations, as well. Push back the evil forces of darkness and open the heavens to the light of Your revelation. May Your angel armies be released to war aggressively against the evil powers! Lord of Angel armies, dispatch them to battle! Show Yourself strong!

Please continue exposing the evil in our government. And please send America the greatest revival in our history. May it be exceeding abundantly beyond what we could even ask or think! We ask these things in the matchless name of Jesus, amen.

Our decree:

The harvest will continue in Afghanistan! The zeal of the Lord of hosts will see to this!

American Thinker: The Top Ten Pending Eruptions

The Top Ten Pending Eruptions

It’s shaping up to be a long, hot summer, one filled -- like Yellowstone Park -- with geysers and hot springs ready to blow at any moment. But these are political eruptions, not nature's fury.  If I didn’t know that God has things under control I’d be terrified, but in the interest of keeping track of the truth let’s list the top 10 political eruptions we can expect to blow sometime soon.

10.  Hunter Biden. He’s at the end of the list because what happens with him is not likely to directly impact any of us, but he’s such a shocking collection of immoralities and corruptions that we all know deep in our bones that such nastiness cannot be condoned in a reasonable, prosperous, free society. Hardly a week goes by without some new scandal surfacing, and each seems worse than the last. Now he’s selling “paintings” as a money-laundering scheme. He and his slimy doings are bad enough by themselves, but he’s the president’s son. Sooner or later something has to be done about him and about the part his father has played in all of it.

9. Speaking of whom, something is also going to have to be done about Joe’s mental state, but that is complicated by the fact that Kamala’s mental acuity is not much better. She’s not suffering from dementia per se, but I suspect that she’s never been all that bright. And Pelosi is next in line and her mental problems border on insanity. So, what we will do about this mortifying state of affairs is going to require some divine intervention -- and soon -- have you heard him whisper/hiss his way through a press briefing? Yikes.

8. Critical Race Theory and the communist infiltration in our schools make up my #8. I’m thrilled to see angry parents accosting school boards. We need a lot more of that. I’m also thrilled to see parents pulling their kids from public schools and educating their children at home.  Will we be able to rectify the damage that’s been done? It will be hard because we have a couple of generations of teachers who have succumbed to the propaganda, so who do we find to teach the kids the truth?  It will be interesting to see how this shapes up this summer. It’s a desperate issue because our 1st Amendment is at stake here.

7. Not only is our 1st Amendment being challenged, so is the 2nd Amendment. These are lines we cannot cross and yet every time there’s a shooting the ante ratchets up another notch and we all know that if the 2nd Amendment goes, the 1st disintegrates and without those we have no freedoms of any kind. This assault on our freedoms of speech is made worse by the power of the mega-media and its desire to shut us up. It’s a relief to see some states staking out their ground on this issue. Sooner or later we’ll see a three-way face-off amongst states’ rights, federal overreach, and Big Tech.

6. Which makes me think of the McClusky’s in St. Louis, which gets us to our Number 6 – inner city violence.  Portland’s riot squad -- all 50 of them -- have resigned and no sane person can blame them. The murder rate there is up over 500%. Baltimore’s murder rate has hit a new high and Chicago is now the shooting capital of the country. Police are being sued, shot at, and defunded, so I doubt there’ll be much help from that quarter and here we are in riot season. The temperature in Portland and Seattle is stuck at triple digits -- will that shut down the rioting or heat it up? We’ll see.

5. Government spending and the national debt is resulting in inflation. The last year’s lockdowns are still stifling the economy. People who are harvesting government stay-at-home subsidies are weakening businesses that can’t find enough labor. Confusingly, the jobless numbers don’t look good, either. We’re financially walking a very shaky tightrope.

4. At number 4 I’ve put the border crises/invasion. Of course all will be well now that Kamala has visited El Paso, but we don’t see a lot of hope here. I’m thrilled that Texas has taken this bull by its horns and pledged to finish its part of the wall. I’m pleased to see that both Florida and Nebraska are sending troops down there to help out. But the solution we were well on way to has vanished.  The situation is deadly with summer scorching the deserts; cartels attacking ranch owners on the border; and drugs, disease, and criminals flooding in.

3. Number 3 on my list is the whole mess with COVID-19 origins, treatment suppression, Fauci/Wuhan/Google/Gates and the vaccine side effects. I can’t even imagine how all of that is going to get untangled because every day a new piece of damning information rises to the surface and raises even more concerns. Something needs to be done about Cuomo and his malfeasance with the nursing home deaths. Something needs to be done to atone for all the people who could have been treated with either Ivermectin or Hydroxychloroquine but were denied those medications. How do we relieve the paralyzing fear so many are stuck in? How do we help children who were adversely affected by school closures? How do we resurrect our small businesses? Most important of all, how do we prevent this from happening again?

2. It’s hard to decide between my 1st and 2nd concerns. But let’s go with the election audit efforts as Number 2. I’d put it at Number 1 if I thought there was much of a chance that Trump could be reinstated, but right now that seems like a pipe dream. But whether the recounts show the massive fraud most of us expect or not, the distrust this has engendered is monumental, the 2022 midterms are barreling down on us, and this needs sorting out now. I am so grateful for all the people who are fighting this battle, for all who are working hard in the audits. I just can’t picture what the outcome will be, but it better be soon.

1. I’ve put in first place China for several reasons. Trump always said they were our biggest problem and he’s been right about everything else. It’s also becoming obvious that China was behind the pandemic -- accidently or otherwise -- and we’re starting to see that China has been infiltrating our universities, fomenting racial hatred, and generally chipping away at our most sacred institutions. It also looks like they played an important part in rigging the 2020 election.  Now they’re threatening our ally Taiwan and making trouble in Hong Kong. They’re imprisoning their own people on religious grounds -- torture and slavery a big part of their anti-Islam program. They’re building a huge navy and messing around in the South China Sea. They’re up to something, and none of it is good.

These aren’t the only problems facing America right now, but they are the biggest volcanoes threatening our nation. We don’t know when each one will blow, but blow they will; they must. The pressure has to be released. Let’s each make our own list, or use this one as a prayer agenda, and get down on our knees. If these all go off at once, only God can help us.

It's Time to Make a Stand

It’s Time to Make a Stand

I have, at times, been accused of being too political. Years ago, I chose not to waste my time responding to my critics. I do, however, believe the body of Christ desperately needs a greater understanding of our need to be involved in the governmental process. With that in mind, I want to share a few thoughts regarding this, then comment further on the Biden administration.

I define government simply as the authority to rule or manage a people, entity or organization. This could be a home, business, church, or nation. Politics is the process used to determine who is to implement governmental authority in some of these arenas. In America, this function (government) and process (politics) determine our freedoms, national values, safety and more. This being the case, wisdom, common sense, and responsibility demand high levels of informed involvement on the part of all American citizens. Even more so since our government continues to expand its influence. It now believes it has the right to determine:

  • when life begins - and when it can be ended
  • what and who defines gender
  • who defines marriage
  • what is and is not immoral
  • when churches can gather to worship...and what can be taught while there
  • whom churches and ministries have to hire
  • how much government will tax us, and that they have the right to spend our tax dollars on abortions and buying the aborted babies’ body parts used for research
  • what our children will be taught about life, morals, sex, gender, America’s history and more
  • what we can say and not say
  • what part of the Constitution they will honor
  • and the list goes on.

In light of this, if you are not passionate about our U.S. and local governments, I can only wonder why. No American who does not involve himself or herself - actively and diligently - in the process of determining who gets to make decisions such as those above has ANY right to complain about what is decided. Personally, I also believe they are complicit in the evil generated by their lack of involvement.

Obviously, it is possible to operate in an inappropriate “political spirit.” (I am referring to an “attitude” of the mind and heart, much like a critical spirit. I believe demons do involve themselves in government, but this is not what I am referencing here.) When one blindly supports a political party, or uses the political process simply to gain power and control, they are operating in what many refer to as a political spirit. Being passionate about or actively engaged in who rules governmentally is certainly not inappropriate or operating in a political spirit, however.

I am unashamedly passionate about government, while guarding against a political spirit. I vote, support and fight for biblical values; I do not fight for a political party. As Joshua discovered when confronted by the Captain of the Lord’s host (Joshua 5:13-15), the appropriate question is not whose side God (the Captain) is on. The correct question was then and is now, “Who is on the Lord’s side?” He doesn’t choose sides, we do. Yes, God does fight for those covenantally aligned with Him, and supports those aligned with His truth and virtues, but He is not “politically” motivated. He is truth and justice motivated.

God’s intent is that ALL government, at every level - from a home to a nation - flows from Him and is based on His principles. Holy Spirit clearly spoke to me several years ago saying, “I’m going to teach you about government from a biblical perspective,” He continued, “I not only believe in the function of government, I AM government.” He then took me to Isaiah 33:22, which states that God is our “Lawgiver...Judge...and King.” Our government, with its 3 branches, was formed with this verse in mind. Our Founders intended for America's government to function under God’s authority. Many of them were pastors. They did not see government or their role in it as extra-biblical, a distraction from their “true” calling, or as being “too political.” Pastors were actually some of the leading voices for independence from Britain’s evil government - from their pulpits. These spiritual leaders would have been incensed and offended at the accusation that their involvement in the process was unbiblical. I concur.

This expression of authority we call government is one of God’s primary means of releasing His justice, peace and righteousness into the earth. It brings freedom, safety and order; without it there is anarchy and injustice. To separate government from God is to, by default, hand over rule to satan. He then influences humans to pervert God’s intent, using government to promote personal and selfish agendas, to oppress and control. These evils are to government what the spirit of religion is to relationship with God. Both are perversions of what He desired and established in Genesis: relationship with us as His family and Spirit-led management/government of creation (Genesis 1:26-28). We are to now bring His redemption into these two arenas, not abandon them. We should train ourselves to differentiate between government and inappropriate control, including a political spirit. If we do so, we can begin to think of the concept of government as good.

Having explained my position, I now want to comment on our current U.S. government. We must ask - not from a biased, political perspective but based on facts - is the Biden administration against the Bible and the church? You decide. Last month, Christians Engaged, a Garland, TX prayer group, which exists to pray and educate believers on their belief in the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, was denied tax exempt status by the IRS. The reason, in their own words: “Specifically, you educate Christians on what the Bible says in areas where they can be instrumental, including the areas of sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, freedom of speech, defense, and borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations.” 1

You might want to read that again.

The IRS continued, “The Bible’s teachings are typically affiliated with the D party and their candidates. This disqualifies you from exemption under IRS Section 501(C)(3).” (2) The “D party” is their code name for the Republican party. Did you catch that? The IRS stated that the Bible is more aligned with the Republican party and, therefore, disqualifies those who teach it for tax-exempt status.

First Liberty Institute counsel Lea Patterson said, “The IRS states in an official letter that Biblical values are exclusively Republican. That might be news to President Joe Biden, who is often described as basing his political ideology on his religious beliefs...Only a politicized IRS could see Americans who pray for their nation, vote in every election, and work to engage others in the political process as a threat. The IRS violated its own regulations in denying tax-exempt status [to] Christians Engaged [for teaching] biblical values.” 3

Only the most naive and deceived could fail to see the total determination of the Left, including those in government, to oppose the teachings of the Bible and silence Christians. It is past time for the church to wake up. From rewriting America’s biblical, Christian history, to intimidation by law enforcement, frivolous lawsuits and IRS attacks, one would have to be blind not to see the vicious attempt to silence us. The frog in the kettle - the church - had better wake up and jump!

The Epoch Times reminds us that, “The IRS under Obama singled out hundreds of conservative, Tea Party, and evangelical tax-exemption applicants for special treatment that included long delays and multiple requests for detailed information about the beliefs and activities of officials associated with the groups.

“Multiple lawsuits were filed against the IRS by such groups, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) agreed in two separate settlements to compensate them for undisclosed amounts.

“The DOJ also acknowledged(4) that the IRS had targeted the groups on the basis of their political and religious activities and beliefs for ‘heightened scrutiny and inordinate delays.’” 5

It is time to wake up, church. It’s time to make a stand, get involved and, most certainly, it is time to pray.

Pray with me:

Father, we thank You for this great nation. [Those of you in other nations, pray for yours.] We thank You for our freedoms and the abundant blessings we enjoy. We also thank You for the system of government we have. I believe You gave us this system of government and our Constitution.

We are in danger of losing much of this. However, we believe You are going to turn this around. We ask You to intervene in America‘s government - strongly. We ask for complete exposure of evil agendas and intentions, and that Your light will be shed on the darkness. We ask for the removal of those who oppose Your ways and principles. Give us honest leaders, righteous leaders and servant leaders. Give us leaders who honor You, the scriptures and Your ways. We know that in order to give us these leaders, it will require an awakening of Your people. We vote them in, You don’t.

Please give us this awakening. Awaken the church to her responsibility of involvement in government and prayer. Break off all deception that says believers should not be involved in government, that they should not be active and passionate about it, and that government is evil. Reveal to them that You ARE government and that You blessed us with the principle of government; reveal that we should passionately involve ourselves in it at a national level, just as we do in governing our homes. Amen.

Our decree:

We decree that the church will not be silenced and that she is awakening to her role in representing the government of God on the earth.
