There Is Nothing Wrong With Clinging To Your Values and Your Property

The notion that Prayer, or the Second Amendment is ever improper borders on tyranny. Politicians have no delegated or legitimate power to close down either one. Our Founders armed you to help prevent this.

In the coming weeks, months and more you may—no—you will be bombarded with what used to be recognized as mass brainwashing, regardless of whether either party has total control, designed to make you believe:

-- Guns are bad, even evil (though they are not);

-- Only people on government payrolls should have them (it won’t be framed that way of course but that’s the false message): police, military, FBI, secret agents, DEA, ICE, BATFE, the whole alphabet soup are all OK—you’re safer if they all have these dangerous nasty guns and you don’t;

-- You never had a real right to arms anyway, or good arms, or military-quality arms, or arms that could provide a balance of power... the very reason the Second Amendment exists. This, despite the evidence of your own eyes—namely, gun stores in every hamlet and a heavily armed populace that got that way somehow—in two-and-a-half centuries with no government paperwork until lately;

-- If we tell you to give up this gun, or that gun, big ones small ones black ones long ones, hi suds lo suds no suds some suds, you will obey or the chance of you catching the virus will get worse, and we’ll take your money through legal problems. If we jail you for gun something you won’t even get the mask, wash, distance and hy-droxy-chlor-o-quine which we disavow, so obey.

JPFO says—You are not some armed “privileged person” to be hated. You are living the American Dream and to be admired and copied. Your freedom to own the means of self defense and resistance to tyranny sets you apart and is to be honored. It is at the root of why so many people seek to emigrate here instead of to communist dictatorships from which people flee. Even if many of our own citizens no longer recognize the value of arms, or even unwittingly seek to undermine this core significance, firearms anchor liberty. The source of tyranny is government. The Founders knew this, and today our own government decays that way. Factions within it work to disarm us, and discourage training even in the proper use of arms—which would be a great benefit.

Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership understands what the Founding Fathers understood. We understand from the lethally hard lessons of history. All peoples—your own lineage, of whatever religious or other roots—all peoples were slaves or unfree at some point in history. It is the judicious use of force that sets humanity free. Possession of the means to exercise that force is why America is the shining city on the hill. Never forget that.

Don’t believe these deniers, the misanthropes (people who hate people and civilization), the America haters. The ones with such hypnotic maniacal control over mass media. You’re supposed to be free to become a privileged person, with wealth beyond what you were born with, earned by your own hand, not a marxist. feudal color-coded system of ranks determined by someone else for you. Work your butt off, make something of yourself, like your peers. Don’t hurt others in the process. Hint: The big secret: “The more other people you help, the faster you move up.”

Try it now. Start today. Help someone else and see where it gets you. Even money works, give something, it won’t hurt you. Might be hard at first, gets easier, you get better at it, target the giving better, enjoy the results.

“Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, http://www.jpfo.org is America’s most aggressive civil-rights organization, dedicated to destroying the notion of 'gun control' as any kind of credible public-policy position. So-called 'gun control' does not control guns and doesn’t control criminal behavior. What it does is disarm the innocent, leaving them helpless in the face of criminals, tyrannical governments and genocide. History repeatedly proves this fact. Founded in 1989 by Aaron Zelman as a response to the Holocaust, JPFO speaks with the moral authority and tenacious commitment of survivors of persecution, and knows that surrendering your personal and family safety to government protection courts disaster. You don’t have to be Jewish to fight by our side, you just have to love liberty.” Watch for our new programs in 2021.

It's Upon Us Now

The Time Is Now

A decade or so ago, I wrote a piece entitled “Righting the Wrongs”, publishing it here and on another blog. The response was ... well, underwhelming. The lack of comments at the time made me think that it did not inspire many folks.

I republished it a couple of years later, and received a much greater response.

Regarding the elections in 2008, 2012, and 2016, I preached, cajoled, and practically begged folks to think – think! – about who (and what) they were voting for – and then about what they had received.

But none of that matters now.

I’ve said all that to say this: ladies and gentlemen, we are being raped. Viciously, maliciously, and with great pleasure by those in the government whose goal is the pure-and-simple gathering of power and control. They don’t care what they have to say, what lies they must tell, what lands they must grab, or what new (and usually unconstitutional) laws and regulations they pass.

It’s all about gaining power and control – and then keeping it. And it’s obvious now that the progressive crew in D.C. is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal.

If you think not, remember that Bobby Francis O'Rourke literally just said, "Hell yes, we're going to take away your AR-15" to thunderous applause.

In the last few years, the vast silent majority has awakened, and risen up like some colossus of old. We have carried signs, written letters, sent e-mails, run ads, and made phone calls until the very switchboards in the Nation’s capital have overheated and shut down.

Did it do any good? Any number of radical, "Progressive" gun registration/confiscation bills have been silently pulled and put away for a later date.

The bad news is, now appears to be that later date.

So, my blogger friends, we have battled, persuaded, cajoled, argued, and typed our fingers sore, and have we convinced any? Sure we have … but not enough. Not enough.

So what more can we do?

If you’re of a Christian persuasion, I’m sure you’ve been praying, right? Right? Even if you’re not, I’ll bet some of you have been praying anyway.

But it comes down to trusting in God – however you approach Him – and not in ourselves. With His help, we are MIGHTY. Even if we can’t see what He’s doing, we have the assurance that He is involved, and will not let His people down.

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us(Romans 8:31)

“But Reverend Paul," (you may ask), "isn’t there something else we can do?”

I’m glad you asked. Alan Caruba wrote a piece for “Insight on Freedom” (sadly, no longer available) which compared our times with those of the mid-1770s, leading up to Lexington and Concord.

Are we at the point of civil disobedience? Some think so, and there have been sporadic outbreaks of that. And didn’t the progressive crowd huddle together and bleat for a cessation? Yes, just those few incidents got their attention. But then they gathered themselves and carried on, harder and faster than before.

So what, then? Armed rebellion? Please, God, no; that time is not yet (and I hope it does NOT come) although I dare say it’s a darn sight closer than any of us thought it would ever be, in our times. In fact, I will predict right now that if gun confiscation begins in earnest, there WILL be a civil war. And the gun owners (civilians, not paid thugs) will win.

Let me repeat that: we will win. But it will be messy, bloody, and too horrible to contemplate here.

Stand your ground, my friends. Refuse to back up another inch. As is stated in the header over at Western Rifle Shooters“Do not give in to Evil, but proceed ever more boldly against it.”
They can only take that which you allow them to take. They know we outnumber them, but for decades they have managed to lull most of us to sleep. And today, we're told, they will probably pass a bill in the House to more-or-less trick the Puerto Ricans into voting for Statehood, which those folks have always opposed in the past. This will garner some 4 million voters who will be eligible for welfare and other forms of Big Government largesse, as well as putting two more Senators and six Representatives on Capitol Hill.

And don't you just know which party those will belong to?

Well, no more.

Get active, stay involved, and DO NOT BACK DOWN. They are trying to steal your freedom, folks, and have managed to get most of the way there.

No more.

It’s time to take this Nation back from those who have unlawfully usurped authority. It is they who are "clinging bitterly" to the reins of power, defying all who rise up in opposition.

Take it back; it’s yours to win or lose. But now; get involved now, because we're running out of time. Get involved at your level, city, county or state, but make it count. Let your voices be heard; insist on changes that are Constitutionally-sound and aimed at making things right.

Remember that power flows upward, from the people to their representatives in government. In fact, insist on it. Remind your local officials, who tend to be more responsive, that there's an election soon. Make sure they hear that message, loud and clear.

We've been asleep - and that's our fault. But we won't be, anymore. We know what America is supposed to be, and we insist that it be restored. No more nanny-statist, power-grabbing politics.

NO MORE.

Quote of the Week

If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, there is then no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government, and which against the usurpations of the national rulers, may be exerted with infinitely better prospect of success than against those of the rulers of an individual state.

In a single state, if the persons intrusted with supreme power become usurpers, the different parcels, subdivisions, or districts of which it consists, having no distinct government in each, can take no regular measures for defense. The citizens must rush tumultuously to arms, without concert, without system, without resource; except in their courage and despair.

Every Man Should Have a Rifle

So I sit and write and ponder, while the house is deaf and dumb,
Seeing visions “over yonder” of the war I know must come.
In the corner – not a vision – but a sign for coming days
Stand a box of ammunition and a rifle in green baize.
And in this, the living present, let the word go through the land,
Every tradesman, clerk and peasant should have these two things at hand.

No – no ranting song is needed, and no meeting, flag or fuss -
In the future, still unheeded, shall the spirit come to us!
Without feathers, drum or riot on the day that is to be,
We shall march down, very quite, to our stations by the sea.
While the bitter parties stifle every voice that warns of war,
Every man should own a rifle and have cartridges in store!

Quote of the Day

Found in comments at Oleg Volk's blog:

“My excellent colleagues have forgotten these bitter lessons of history. The prospect of tyranny may not grab the headlines the way vivid stories of gun crime routinely do. But few saw the Third Reich coming until it was too late. The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed—where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.”

Forbes: "Sarah Palin, Paul Revere And the Importance of an Armed Populace"

Excerpt from Forbes.com:

The minutemen understood something lost on most Americans today, that disarming the people is always the necessary precursor to tyranny. When the British disembarked to seize the Colonists’ stores of powder and ammunition, the militia resisted. Americans in 1775 wanted government to leave them be. Many Americans today want the state to care for us.

The Colonists had been possibly the freest people on earth. Taxes were low and regulations rare. Prosperity flourished. The Colonists enjoyed freedom of speech, press, assembly and the right to petition the crown over their grievances. Their grievances were real and their cause just, but these freedoms would have proved fleeting had they not been enforced by arms.

The founders later codified these long standing liberties in the Second Amendment, which guarantees the right of a militia in defiance of tyranny.

Our rights come from God, not a state which derives its only legitimacy from the consent of the governed. America was premised on popular sovereignty, not state subjugation, but as Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America illustrates, “. . . a sovereign without the ability (and willingness) to use force is not a sovereign. He is a subject.”

Read the Whole Thing

From Doctor Zero:
The Western nations which have abandoned this essential understanding of an individual’s right to self-defense have become rotting orphanages filled with dependent children. They’re not dealing very well with the invasion of a determined ideology that has complete confidence in its own righteousness, and few reservations about using violence to assert itself. Losing the dignity of self-defense is part of the degeneration from master of the State to its client. As this dignity fades, the people and their government speak less of responsibilities, and more of entitlements.

The Second Amendment is a concrete expression of the American birthright of independence. With the right of self-defense bargained away, our rights to speak and vote give us modest influence in a collective. The Founders wanted more, and better, for us.

.... A disarmed populace has little choice but to obey orders. If the population is armed, a tyrant’s forces have to do more than just brandish their weapons… they’d have to start pulling triggers. Victory for a righteous populace would come in the military’s refusal to pull those triggers. Tyranny should never be easy. Of course, it should never come to that again, in the United States. As long as the population is armed, this is an understanding, and a duty… not an assumption.

You know what to do.
