Saturday Perambulation

We have 40 degrees this morning, with a 15 mph wind gusting to 22 in the last hour, although it seems to be slowing at the moment. The weather wonk at AccuHunch claims there's an 80% of steady rain now, although the sun is shining brightly. Of course, with the weather patterns in this topographical bowl - surrounded on mountains on three sides - it could be pouring 2 blocks away and we'd never know it.

We've chosen this morning to begin our summer walking routine, so we're pulling windbreakers out of the closet. We may or may not need them by the time we get to the park, but better to have & not need, vs. the other way 'round.

I'm going to visit a store downtown to get new walking shoes - they have a guy who will fit a pair of shoes to me. They need to be sturdy, to support my weight as I begin my annual winter-weight-loss routine. I plan to keep it going all summer, this year, as I've tired of fighting the yearly gain. My goal is to lose some 50 pounds. I had lost 10 pounds during the winter, by some walking & a lot of starving, but have put 5 of it back (@#$&*%@!)

Uh-oh ... it just started clouding up. Guess I'll add a cap to my wardrobe, too.

Y'all have a great weekend; thanks for stopping by.
