Things to go, places to meet, and people to do.
When we took sabbatical from active ministry, back in 2005, my wife & I had been working on the run, it seemed, for more than 20 years. The final eight years of that life were spent in church services three to eight times per week, depending on the season.
We were hardly ever home in evenings or on weekends, and our daughters both grew up in church. We drove three successive autos (two cars and a minivan) into the ground.
Then we stepped down, to catch our collective breath, and to allow time for being renewed and refreshed. But in the last few months, our sedate and leisurely weekends have steadily become more busy, with back-to-back appointments, schedules to keep, and meetings & activities to attend.
Having spent a lot of years in ministry, we learned to identify when it was man's idea of "busy", and when God is up to something.
Something's up, folks. There go our weekends, again, but I'm thinking it's a good thing.

Wow wow wow!! I am always SO impressed when one of His gets quiet and listens to Him...and then follows. I've had my own Jonah moments, so am humbled by your Noah moments. Staying tuned.
BTW, I really need to catch up on the novel. But, in my defense, things have been a bit slow due to the laptop probs. (I also have always had the rep of being a crumby penpal.) Have a great weekend Rev!
