Theft – Liquor store employee reported two customers had attempted to
steal a bottle of cheap whiskey. The thief then offered to pay for the
bottle of whiskey but refused to wait for police. The store did not wish
to pursue charges and asked only that the couple be told not to
patronize their facility for 72 hours.
Drunk Disturbance – Officers escorted an intoxicated and unpleasant man
from a boarding house where he had been causing problems with legitimate
tenants.
Theft – Steven Jay West, 52 yoa, of Utah, was arrested on one count of
Concealment of Merchandise after he attempted to steal a bottle of
liquor from the Alaska Ship Supply liquor store. Store management stated
this was not the first time West had committed this act.
Traffic Crime – An officer contacted driver Kevin Sorenson after
receiving a complaint about him speeding and driving recklessly.
Sorenson admitted to speeding and to smoking marijuana only a few
minutes before being contacted by police. Charges pending.
Drunk Disturbance – A home drunk reported that a visiting drunk had
struck him in the face. When police arrived at the home drunk’s
residence, he said he had no desire to pursue charges against his
assailant. The officer advised the visiting drunk to leave. She did. [emphasis added]

I love that place so much just from the police blotter that I may actually retire there.
