LOL. Folks too often think that Christianity is being smiley and sweet and taking it all like a doormat in the name of "loving everybody". Nothing is farther from the truth. It is a confident strength of conviction. It is standing firm and not retreating. It's being loving enough to show someone they're wrong. Jesus was no wimp.

Very true, Leigh. We don't know for certain, but it's arguably true that Jesus worked for his father, the carpenter - and just imagine the upper body strength of carpenters who had no power tools!

Just imagine getting a carpenter's helper mad.

I can easily imagine it, and - frankly - would rather not. :)

The wrath of God.
His mighty swift sword. . .

Powerful lines.

His list of candidates earning His retribution . .

It is not a list one would wish to be on.

And Rev. Paul . . I meant that in the sense that I truly hope his justice reigns. There is so much evil afoot, today.

(My lack of clarity comes from a 4 hour plane flight that shook and shimmied and was a '2' xanax + )

Cathy, no need to apologize; I knew what you meant. And you're right.

"Jesus our buddy who signs off on anything we do" - a concept that has no theological basis.

You mean he discouraged the free market? Sounds like the President.

So very true, PH ... and so very prevalent these days. Those who are being taught that way are in for a rude awakening - and their teachers will be judged even more harshly. (James 3:1, NIV)

Guffaw - if I thought you were serious, I'd compose a lecture ... but, since I know you're not, I'll just laugh. :)
