Assault - Nick Galaktionoff, Jr., 53 yoa, of Unalaska, was
arrested for Assault III-DV after officers responding to his residence
regarding a report that he was “freaking out,” found that he had
threatened his brother with a kitchen knife. Alcohol was a factor.
Harassment - A man, his wife, a coworker and her boyfriend had
some disputatious exchanges after the man told his coworker he was
desirous of her. Officers advised all parties to keep their comments to
themselves.
Suspicious Person/Activity
- Caller reported a piece of orange construction
equipment, swinging recklessly near a community park. An officer
contacted the driver of said equipment, who was leveling the earth near
the park and who said that the bucket does swing as he picks up dirt in
one location and moves it to another.
Assault - Officers responded to a local bar regarding a
minor assault, and found a half-dozen people had been involved in
various disagreements about debts and a certain woman’s behavior. One
man had ultimately slapped another but no other violence was reported.
Drunk Disturbance - Officers contacted an intoxicated and distraught
woman who was shambling along the roadway. The woman, who declined all
offers of assistance, including that of her husband, was allowed to
continue on her way home after being advised to use the sidewalk in
order to stay well clear of traffic.
Assistance Rendered
- A severely intoxicated patient refused treatment
at the clinic and departed the area with a catheter still in place.
Officers contacted the man walking along the roadway and advised him it
would be prudent to remove the catheter. He did.
