The Lies About "Christian Nationalism"

First, I want to focus on the related subject of Christian nationalism, for critics are now lumping the two together. Tomorrow I will address Justice Alito and the flag. The phrase - Christian nationalism - is being used by the mainstream media, and even ignorant believers, to label we who believe in America’s Christian roots, and want to see them restored. I’m being called a Christian nationalist, as is Alito, Speaker Michael Johnson, and millions of other patriotic Americans. If you’re reading this you probably fall in that category; this post will help you understand the accusations and how to respond to the lies.

To accomplish this, the remainder of today’s GH15 will be taken from an outstanding article by William Federer, used with permission. It’s the best exposé I’ve seen on Christian nationalism. I wish I had time/space on today’s post to include it in its entirety, but do not. We are providing a link, however, to the entire MUST READ article. Federer is also the author/compiler of the unrivaled resource: America’s God and Country - Encyclopedia of Quotations. He has authored several great books, his latest being Silence Equals Consent - The Sin of Omission: Speak Now or Forever Lose Your Freedom. Here are portions of Federer’s article:

What Is Christian Nationalism?

There is a controversial new label the mainstream media is using: Christian nationalism. What is it? To answer that, there are three points to consider.

The first is: nationalism is the opposite of globalism. 

Did you know there are people called “globalists” who want to do away with nations and set up a one-world government, which, of course, they will control?

Brock Chisholm, the first director-general of the World Health Organization, stated: “To achieve world government, it is necessary to remove from the minds of men their individualism, loyalty to family traditions, national patriotism, and religious dogmas.” 

Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum produced an Agenda 2030 video, which had the line: “You will own nothing and be happy.” 

This sounds a lot like Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto: “The theory of the communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property.” “Abolition of private property” means “you will own nothing”! 

How do globalists plan on getting you to give up your property and freedom? —The Great Reset. Jack Posobiec of Human Events Daily, stated on OAN, November 24, 2022: “The Great Reset is very much like communism … They'll tell you it is about diversity … equality … climate … But … what they want is ... total government.” People will not give up their property and freedom if everything is fine, but if there is a crisis, they will trade freedom for security. The Great Reset is an orchestrated global crisis to produce dependency on international government. 

The second point is: nationalism depends on the nation. 

Most nations have an “honor-shame” culture, where an individual's worth is based on what group they belong to, for example:

• European classes with royalty divided from peasantry;  

• Islamic ummah communities with men worth more than women, who are worth more than infidels;  

• Communism with party members worth more than common people;  

The latest rendition of this is “intersectionality,” where a person's worth is based on how many minority groups they belong to, with “trans” being superior to all others, resulting in those on the left wanting to impose a “transgender nationalism.”

Whereas nationalism is bad in totalitarian nations as they deny individual rights, in America, nationalism has been preserving a nation where you have worth regardless of what group you belong to.

President Truman said in his Inaugural Address, January 20, 1949: “The American people … believe that all men are created equal because they are created in the image of God.”

Lincoln stated in his Gettysburg Address, 1863: “Our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.”

Nationalism is bad in socialist and Islamist nations where governments do not guarantee individuals inalienable rights, but in America, “nationalism” is supporting a nation whose very purpose is to guarantee each individual their God-given rights. These rights include freedom of conscience, religion, speech, press, assembly, self-defense, impartial trial, no cruel and unusual punishment — the freedom to determine your own destiny.

The third point to consider is: Christian nationalism used to be called Christian patriotism. It was as American as football and apple pie. 

The word “nationalism” was not even in use in America when Noah Webster compiled his 1828 American Dictionary of the English Language, yet the word “patriotism” was. 

Webster’s 1828 Dictionary gave the definition: “Patriotism is the characteristic of a good citizen, the noblest passion that animates a man in the character of a citizen ... Love of one's country; the passion which aims to serve one's country, either in defending it from invasion, or protecting its rights and maintaining its laws and institutions in vigor and purity.”

Past Presidents, Democrat and Republican, encouraged Christian patriotism.

George Washington referred to both “Christian” and “patriot” in his order to troops at Valley Forge, May 2, 1778: “To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest Glory to laud the more distinguished Character of Christian.”

Republican President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation and pushed through the 13th Amendment, freeing four million slaves. He stated in his Inaugural Address, March 4, 1861: “Intelligence, patriotism, Christianity, and a firm reliance on Him … are still competent to adjust in the best way all our present difficulty.” Lincoln mentioned the words “patriotism” and “Christianity” right next to each other in his Inaugural Address!

Democrat President Woodrow Wilson warned in 1923: “We call ours a Christian civilization, a Christian conception of justice ... Our civilization … can be saved only by becoming permeated with the spirit of Christ and being made free and happy by the practices which spring out of that spirit.”

[Democrat President Franklin Roosevelt] stated on November 1, 1940: “Those forces hate democracy and Christianity as two phases of the same civilization … They oppose democracy because it is Christian. They oppose Christianity because it preaches democracy.” He stated on May 27, 1941: “The whole world is divided between pagan brutality and the Christian ideal. We choose human freedom, which is the Christian ideal.”

In a fireside chat April 28, 1942, FDR shared: “This great war effort … shall not be imperiled by the handful of noisy traitors — betrayers of America, betrayers of Christianity itself.”

And on August 22, 1942, Roosevelt wrote: “The action taken today by your Government has hastened the coming of the inevitable victory of freedom over oppression, of Christian religion over the forces of evil and darkness." Would today’s mainstream media label Roosevelt a "Christian nationalist”?

Democrat President Truman said, August 28, 1947: “This is a Christian Nation ... As a Christian Nation our earnest desire is to work with men of good will everywhere to banish war.” Truman lit the National Christmas Tree, December 24, 1952, saying: “Through Jesus Christ the world will yet be a better and a fairer place.” 

Would today’s mainstream media label Truman a “Christian Nationalist”?

Republican President Dwight Eisenhower said November 9, 1954: “This relationship between a spiritual faith ... and our form of government is ... obvious ... ‘Man is endowed by his Creator’ ...  When you come back to it, there is just one thing ... man is worthwhile because he was born in the image of his God ... Any group that ... awaken[s] all of us to these simple things ... is … a dedicated, patriotic group that can well take the Bible in one hand and the Flag in the other, and march ahead.”

Americans have historically been patriotic and a majority Christian. Patricia U. Bonomi, professor emeritus of New York University, wrote: “The colonists were about 98 percent Protestant.”

Why does the mainstream media insist on calling Christian patriots “Christian nationalists”? For the same reason they call Pro-Life supporters “anti-abortion.” No Pro-Life group labels itself “anti-abortion.” Yet every mainstream news article that covers the subject labels Pro-Life people “anti-abortion.” Why? Negative word association. They want to align public opinion against them. What is happening is called psychological projection. 

Intolerant activists accuse Christians of being intolerant when, in reality, they are the ones who are intolerant of Christians. It is a narcissistic response called blame-shifting, where the attacker blames the victim. They accuse the innocent of what they are guilty of.

Left-wing activists use DEI [Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion] and ESG [Environmental, Social, and Governance] to force an irreligious nationalism; an unprecedented satanist theocracy; a transgender-dominionism, to censor and cancel Bible–believing Christians and Pro-Life Catholics. They employ critical race theory, a socialist tactic, to divide those opposing their agenda, in this case Christians, into various groups which fight among themselves. They employ a “fear mongering” technique. 

The Telegraph’s article, December 12, 2023, exposed a Hollywood producer using fear-mongering: "Rob Reiner is deluded about 'Christian nationalism’—The God and Country movie trailer presents ordinary religious Americans as nationalist boogeymen: Reiner’s ... examples of Christian Nationalism ... are so broad that even the late Queen Elizabeth had a brush with it ... [and] ... Billy Graham ...  The inescapable conclusion is that average Christian beliefs and average Christian engagement in the public sphere are exactly what Reiner and his abettors [collaborators] hope to target. They want to shame followers of Jesus from taking part in the very same political activities their secular counterparts do.” 

TheGatewayPundit.com reported February 23, 2024: “Heidi Przybyla, a reporter for Politico, appeared on MSNBC this week and fretted as she explained that Christian Nationalists believe that Americans’ rights are granted by God and not Congress or the Supreme Court … The rights of Americans DO come from God and not the government, which anyone knows if they have read the country’s founding documents.”

Ed Martin of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, responded on March 1, 2024: “Heidi Przybyla … isn’t railing against ‘Christian Nationalism,’ she’s railing against the American Founding.”

Mainstream media accuses Christian patriots of wanting to “force” their beliefs on others, but how can you force freedom on people?

Instead of "dominionism," patriots want “freedomism.”

Patriots don’t want to force their beliefs on anyone; they just don’t want government forcing its progressive beliefs on them. They want the government to stop legislating immorality.  

Pray with me:

Father, we ask You for the continued exposing of progressive, Marxist, and globalist agendas. Their hatred of truth, Scripture, America, and the church, combined with their arrogance, has moved them out of the closet, causing them to reveal their own lies and evil plans. Amplify this.

We ask that You cause all their plans to fail. Deliver President Trump from trumped up charges, the kangaroo courts, and corrupt judges. Continue to give Alito, Johnson, and other patriots in government, backbones of steel. May they share our Founders’ “firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence.” Insulate them and their families from the lies and attempts at character assassination.

We pray that You will remove deception off of those in the church who have bought into, and even partner with, the left’s propaganda. And we ask You to break all intimidation off of the church. Give pastors and spiritual leaders the boldness to speak out against these deceptions and teach truth regarding government, America’s founding and purpose, and attempts by demonically motivated people to hinder this purpose. In Yeshua’s name we pray.

God Has a Sense of Humor

I want to share one more post on forgiveness and being released from past hurts. I have posted on the subject during the previous two days - however, this one reveals, to some extent, the sense of humor God has.

A couple of years after insisting that I forgave the man I held responsible for so much pain in my family, and enabling me to do so, (,read about it here), the Lord led me to Christ For the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas. It was there that I became much better grounded in the Word of God, learned to pray, became a true worshiper, embraced a heart for the nations, and met my lovely wife, Ceci. It was a great two years.

Shortly after arriving, to my surprise I ran into the son of the man I had hated so strongly. His son was also there as a student. Tom (not his real name) happened to be in the cluster of 15 or 20 students that became my inner circle there. I wouldn’t say he became a best friend, but we were definitely friends. He was a few years younger than me and had no idea of the past hatred I once held for his dad. I’m sure he was completely unaware of what had even taken place a few years prior to this. Tom had gotten into drugs and alcohol while in high school and became horribly addicted. He had come to Christ and was attending the Bible institute to help firm up his walk with the Lord. I found it very encouraging that I could relate to this young man with no feelings of awkwardness or resentment.

About six months into my time there, Tom had a bit of a relapse and used some recreational drugs, which was obviously against the very strict policy of the Institute. The Institute wasn’t legalistic. However, it was not a rehabilitation center and was not equipped to deal with drug addiction and rehabilitation, so they were very firm in their stance. To violate the policy meant dismissal, with their help in finding a place more suited to ministering to them.

The Dean of Men, who would be making this decision and doling out the consequences, called me to his office. I knew him somewhat from some on-campus prayer meetings I had attended. He was very strict regarding the school’s policies, but was also very prophetic. He prayed regarding situations of this nature, asking Holy Spirit to give him wisdom and guidance. I had no idea why he was summoning me to his office.

He explained what happened with Tom, and spelled out the normal consequences for the offense. “I want to give him another chance, however,” he stated. “I believe his heart is right. He is a friend of yours, isn’t he?” he asked.

“Yes” I said, “he is a friend.” I felt truly spiritual being able to say that, and was very satisfied with myself. Not that I was proud, you understand. My assumption was that the Dean was about to ask me if I thought it was a good idea to give Tom another chance.

NOT!

“I have noticed you in the prayer room and observed you praying on occasion,” he began. I was, indeed, attempting to become an intercessor. I certainly wasn’t an expert, but I was passionate. “I am willing to give Tom a second chance,” he said, “if you are willing to take him on as a personal assignment. You must take him to the prayer room every day and pray over him, teaching him to pray, and helping him get free from his addictions.”

Did I mention that this Dean was very prophetic?! He knew nothing about my past with this young man‘s father. But had he ever heard from God! I said yes, and left the room astounded. I’m not sure what my exact words to the Lord were when I left the dean’s office, but it was something like this, “Well, God, You sure do have a sense of humor.”

“I do,” He said. “But I’m doing more than being humorous. I’m finishing the job. Drive the nail into the coffin of your past. Make satan pay. Overcome evil with good. (Romans 12:21) You are free in your heart; now seal it with your actions.”

I was able to do what I had been assigned to do. I dragged this young man to the prayer room every day - actually, he had no choice - and prayed over him, as well as making him pray, for an hour or so. Surprise, surprise! It worked…for both of us. We chased off his demons and buried my past pain. Only God. Tom became free and was able to remain free - to this day, I trust.

Overcome in the above verse (Romans 12:21), is the Greek word, nikao. It means “to conquer, prevail, overcome; even legally - to win in a court of law.” It’s a wonderful word describing our God-infused ability to be overcomers in life. There is one place, however, where Holy Spirit evidently decided this word was not strong enough to describe the overcoming nature He has given us.

Romans 8:37 tells us: “But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us,” (NASB). It is almost as though as this revelation is breathed into Paul by Holy Spirit, so he can pass it on to us, he is overcome by the strength of what he is seeing. As he searches his mind for the correct word, Paul comes up empty and finally has to take two words and make them one: hupernikao, translated above as “overwhelmingly conquer.” This Greek word is used nowhere else in the New Testament.

The prefix huper means “overwhelmingly, over, beyond, exceedingly, excessively, more than.” Our English word, hyper, comes from this Greek word. Paul, overwhelmed with emotion and excitement, shouts with his pen, “We are hyperconquerors! We overwhelmingly conquer! Our conquering ability is excessive, over the top!”

Holy Spirit wants you to win over, conquer, your past. “Through Him who loved us,” Paul goes on to say (Romans 8:37b). Everything God does is motivated by His heart of love. He’s a giver, a blesser, a healer, a destiny-provider. When He asks us to release, let go of past offenses, He is actually saying, “Here’s how I can get rid of this pain. Let me have it.” Forgiveness, releasing the person who hurt you, is one of the ways God erases the negative side of the ledger. He moves your pain into the asset column, making it serve you!

You can do this. Let it go!

Pray with me:

Father, we thank You for Your determination to heal, equip, and strengthen us for success. You have a plan for each of us and You are determined to accomplish it. We pray the prayer of the Psalmist, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way” (Psalm 139:23-24). (“Hurtful way” could be translated “way of pain.”) Show us any pain in us that could keep us from accomplishing everything You planned for us.

We want clean hands and pure hearts. We pray now for our brothers and sisters who struggle with things they have experienced in the past. Help them to let go. Pour Your grace into them, enabling them to release it all to You. You are such a good Father. You will release and heal them completely.

And we pray that in the coming revival, we will be healing agents. We ask You for wholeness, and an anointing to produce wholeness. We can be the generation that heals our land of racism, division, and strife. Start in us, Your people and anoint us to be Your “able ministers of the new covenant” (2 Corinthians 3:6). Expose all evil that is used to divide us as a nation. Expose those with wrong motives, who do so. Raise up leaders in all segments of our society who are healthy and whole, not bitter and determined to live in the past. They try to divide us, not heal us. Deliver us from their leadership, we pray. And we ask it all in Christ’s name. Amen.

Our decree:

We declare that we will walk in the wholeness of Christ, and minister His wholeness to those in need.

For 4 years, Democrats have been able to insult, attack, lie, steal with impunity, all while preparing you for the biggest election theft in the history of the free world.  They quietly transformed the American electoral system and organized, as the senile Joe announced in one of his famous blunders, "the greatest cheating machine in history."

When you've managed to bribe almost all of the mainstream media, when you've got the billionaires from Wall Street, Hollywood and Silicone Valley in your pocket, when you've managed to brainwash the masses by pretending to be the side of good and  generosity, when for eight years, under the leadership of an avowed anti-Semitic Islamist who passed himself off as a liberal Christian, you installed agents in all administrations, thus creating an impossible “Deep State”.  bypassing, all you have to do is win the elections by any means, to the detriment of the people and to the benefit of your allies.

The corrupt fascist Democrats were able to take advantage, strangely, of a worldwide epidemic brought on by their main ally, China, to inflict a daily panic fear on the American people and make them believe that their legally elected president  was responsible for the deaths they themselves had caused, sometimes on purpose (the criminal management of the crisis by Cuomo and De Blazio in New York for example), or invented.  (Official figures for deaths from COVID19 remain questionable).

They obviously created such a level of panic that the US economy, which was booming thanks to President Trump, abruptly collapsed (before recovering and rebounding).  This panic enabled them to convince Americans to stay at home and vote by mail, without proof of identity, opening the door to massive fraud, prepared and organized in great detail.

The corrupt Democratic fascists would therefore have convinced Americans to vote for them because they were going to:

>>> Stop the exploitation of fossil fuels and make America again dependent on foreign oil

>>> Resume date with China and let jobs slip away again in Communist forced labor camps

>>> Revert to the hellish deal that would allow Iran to obtain the atomic bomb in less than a decade while continuing its regional hegemony and funding terrorism

>>> Erase the Second Amendment and confiscate small arms so that no one can defend themselves 

And it is true that millions of useful idiots, in the Leninist sense of the term, have allowed themselves to be brainwashed enough to fall for the trap and blissfully accept to become a herd of slaves, with the feeling of belonging to the camp of the  good and generosity.  A bit like some Germans who in the 1930s voted for Hitler in good faith, without understanding who they were dealing with or knowing what they were doing.

Biden is but a corrupt to the core and senile puppet who has enriched himself for 47 years on the backs of American workers.  The system that protects it is not a Nazi system, even if National Socialism was a left ideology contrary to the claims of the "liberals" who are determined to rewrite history for their benefit.  Rather, it would resemble the systems that were put in place in the banana republics of Africa or South America with the blessing of the big profiteers and the communist parties.

Unfortunately for corrupt democratic fascists, a fraud on this scale cannot exist without a few hiccups.  The scum and useful idiots who participated in this fraud don't all have Einstein's brains.  To put it mildly ... when you tell a scum that he has his hands free to cheat or steal, the sky is the limit of what he is capable of.

This is why tons of mistakes were made: from the magical appearance of the exact number of ballots that corrupt Democratic fascists needed to steal elections in certain states, to the blocking of Republican observers or  impartial despite the judgments in certain sorting centers, through the massive sending of ballots to false addresses, to the vote of the dead, of more than centenarians and of illegal immigrants.  To name, of course, just a few of the shameful manipulations that have been discovered.

This theft of the open-air election could only be organized thanks to the complicity of the media and the GAFA, at the orders of the corrupt fascist Democrats because it is in the interest of their leaders to transform the planet into a camp of  insane giant, in which only their privileged group could continue to profit.

Work, come home, watch the most absurd TV shows, stuff yourself with fake news, pay your taxes, more and more taxes, crossbreed, forget your gender, feel ashamed to go to the  church, build mosques, propagate anti-Semitism in universities, accept Chinese rule, be lenient with Iran, spit on Israel, and most importantly, be submissive.

“BIG BROTHER takes care of your safety and happiness.  We are the Democrats!"

If President Trump fails to demonstrate the extent of this cheating which has taken the form of a coup, the years to come will be darker and darker as the most precious possession of every human being will be.  gradually confiscated: his freedom.

Multinationals don't want entrepreneurial freedom that hurts their profits.

The GAFA does not want the freedom to speak out that harms its total grip on every human hypnotized by their computer and cell phone.

The media do not want freedom of thought that interferes with their unfair treatment of information for the benefit of their sponsors.

The Democrats do not want freedom at all, which harms their embezzlement, their alliances with dictatorships, their "social" program designed to provoke more submission and dependence.

Against this "blue wave" which looks more like the stir vomited by the infernal den of the privileged, there is only one man to fight against all odds.  This man was not a politician but a courageous patriot in love with his country and his people.  A man who had gotten himself elected to clean up the bacteria-infested swamp of the Slavery Party and was very close to getting there.

There is still a chance to prevent this dire scenario from happening.  It goes through a legal fight with the support of all the people.

 Over the last few months, an important drama has played out in the state of Virginia. As leaders of the gun-control movement looked to prove to Democrats that their issue can move voters, they settled on Virginia as their guinea pig. After a failed election and a relatively inconsequential executive action on guns from Clintonite governor Terry McAuliffe, their experiments culminated in a bold move: unilateral action from the Democratic attorney general that broke the state’s concealed-carry reciprocity agreement (in this agreement, Virginia’s concealed-carry permits were honored by 25 other states).Then, on Friday, that action was undone by a deal between McAuliffe and Republicans. 

More embarrassingly for the gun-control advocates, new details Friday revealed that the McAuliffe–Republican deal was more expansive than was first reported. Not only did the deal reverse the Democrats’ unilateral action and restore all 25 of the reciprocity deals; it also mandated that Virginia recognize permits from all states and create reciprocity agreements with every state that wants one.

The deal is a leap forward for gun-rights activists. It also undermines Democrats’ effort to present gun control as a winning issue in the state and nationally. As a movement, gun control never made much sense — it has faced one setback after another over many decades. But it nonetheless carried on full-steam ahead, and gun-control activists believed that 2016 would be the year they finally turned things around.

Their belief is proving misplaced, as polls are showing a sharp turnaround in Americans’ attitudes on guns. Up to this point, most Americans believed that guns were “too easy” to get. Up to this point, most Americans wanted to ban so-called assault weapons. The opposite is true now, and even a historic front-page New York Times anti-gun editorial hasn’t changed that. Today, most Americans are on board with concealed carry. If that’s not enough, we’re also seeing record levels of gun sales across the country.

Given the history of those words, used that way, JPFO readers have plenty of reason to want to see them excised from American legal code, like the cancerous tumors they are.

The “Glock Block” isn’t a new boy band, but it is a band of neighbors coming together in an effort to stop petty crimes by warning everyone that they’re packing heat.

The Milwaukee, Oregon, neighbors in Clackamas County are headed by Coy Toloman, according to KOIN-TV, who said they don’t feel previous measures were doing enough.

“We don’t feel neighborhood watch is sufficient, and we don’t feel the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is sufficient,” Toloman said.

The group is getting word out in front of potential thieves by posting flyers that read: “This is a Glock block. We don’t call 911.”

Gov. Parnell, Alaska Continue to Support Self-Defense

JUNEAU, Alaska—

A spokeswoman for Gov. Sean Parnell says he continues to support a so-called "Stand Your Ground" law in Alaska.

Sharon Leighow says Parnell's position hasn't changed since last month, when he signed legislation allowing for use of deadly force in self-defense in any place a person has a legal right to be. At that time, Parnell said Alaskans' way of life depends on their ability to carry firearms to defend themselves, provide for their families and "live freely."

There's very little newsworthy goings-on at this end of North America, aside from the gun control vote coming up in the Senate.

Alaska's Governor on Gun Control

Dear [Rev. Paul],

Thank you for writing regarding our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. Like you, I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment. Thousands of our fellow Alaskans who share this view have also spoken up by contacting my office. Together, we will fight federal attempts to limit our constitutional liberties, all of which are safeguarded by the Second Amendment.

Unwise gun control policies seek to disarm law abiding citizens, leaving criminals as the only people with guns. For this reason, states and cities with gun control laws, like the city of Chicago, have the highest murder rates. As your Governor, I will not let Alaska turn into Chicago. And ... They're Off!

A beloved draft horse named Big Fred was among a group of six horses that broke free and ran the streets of South Anchorage Monday before the herd was captured near Builders Millwork & Supply on East Dimond Boulevard.

One small horse ran for a while on the Seward Highway between O'Malley Road and Dimond as the others thundered along Brayton Drive, the eastern frontage road, police said. Drivers slowed down and stopped. Some took pictures or shot videos with their phones of the unusual and spectacular scene. A few tried to corral the horses until some stable owners arrived.

No one wrecked in all the commotion and none of the horses appeared to have been hurt, their owner said.

Sometime after breakfast, the horses sauntered away from Horse Trekkin Alaska, a trail and sleigh ride business owned by Joshua Hale and based in a couple of leased South Anchorage locations. He wouldn't say from where specifically they escaped. A gate appears to have been left open, perhaps by the man who fed them breakfast, Hale said. "I am going to make sure that doesn't happen again," he said.

I think the current administration is finding out what happens when you go too far. The economy - American society - and the American people themselves will not go willingly.

We have liberty in our very bones, and what this administration has done is to awaken a sleeping giant.

Why I Haven't Written About Firearms Lately

Firearms are tools.  I don't often write about my hammer, screwdrivers or socket wrench, either.

But ... just to be clear ... the .38 +P in my pocket is so I can get to the 1911 in my briefcase so I can get to the rifle in my truck. Any questions?



p.s. Most days the 1911 is my carry piece. The 442 just works better with I'm wearing today.

Freedom

So what do we do? Keep on sinning so God can keep on forgiving? I should hope not! If we've left the country where sin is sovereign, how can we still live in our old house there? Or didn't you realize we packed up and left there for good? That is what happened in baptism. When we went under the water, we left the old country of sin behind; when we came up out of the water, we entered into the new country of grace—a new life in a new land!

That's what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we're going in our new grace-sovereign country.

Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer at sin's every beck and call! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ's sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That's what Jesus did.

That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don't give it the time of day. Don't even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you've been raised from the dead!—into God's way of doing things. Sin can't tell you how to live. After all, you're not living under that old tyranny any longer. You're living in the freedom of God.
